Rules have been updated -- please take a moment to read them.

Hello everyone,

As we're getting to the home stretch before Hulaween, everyone is getting more excited -- and for some, more anxious -- as we get closer to going back home. In response to a surge in posts recently, we have updated the subreddit rules to add and clarify a few things. Please take a moment to read them. You can also find these rules in the sub's info/about section:

1. Be kind
Open dialogue and debate is encouraged here. Negative opinions are fine, just don't make it personal. Hostile activity, trolling, or insults are not welcome here. All members must follow general rules of Reddiquette, so have a good time and don't be a dick.

2. Use the search, wiki, FAQ, and flair filters before posting
There are many commonly asked questions here. Please use the search, wiki, FAQ, and post flair filters to find answers to your question(s) before posting.

3. No ticket sales
Buying, selling, or trading tickets is not allowed. For ticket sales, use r/HulaweenTickets

4. No self-promotion, marketing, or ambassador posts
Ambassador posts; or posts/comments involving any marketing or self-advertising without prior approval from the mods will be removed.

5. Discussing illegal activities
Don't incriminate yourself or others - cops read Reddit too! Harm reduction is an important topic, but discussing drugs or other illegal activities is not permitted here. This includes but is not limited to: asking about security measures, asking how to sneak in or asking how to buy drugs.

6. Personal information
Selfies are fine, but do not post or comment with someone's personal information, or post links to personal information e.g. names, email, address, phone number, or other unique identifiers. This includes screenshots of social media pages where such information is still legible.

7. Low-effort and off-topic posts
Low-effort posts or posts unrelated to Suwannee Hulaween will be removed.

8. No duplicate posts
Duplicate posts will be removed. Please check the sub before posting lineups, schedules, or other popular announcements to make sure it has not already been posted.

9. No NSFW/18+
Not everyone on this sub is an adult. Posts with content that is considered NSFW/18+ are not permitted here.

I am soooo excited to explore all of the take one leave one tables! It’s one of my favorite side quests at Hula🥰 I have a ton of goodies to share and exchange!

I’m at work today and clearly my mind is already in Live Oak so I finished my sprouts, too!! 🌱 I embraced the Reduce/Reuse/Recycle mantra and repurposed all the little loose trinkety bits into one collection of eco-friendly…ish sprouts😁

Question Police presence

First timer to Hula and Florida. Was going to be bringing personal use party favors for the 4 days. Was warned by some friends that Florida dont fuck around, and to be careful of police stops and searches before even getting to the festival. What is it like there and anything to be worried about?

First Year Going solo

Hi everyone I (27m) am attending for the first time and going solo, I’ve been to plenty of fests but have never gone solo before and was wondering if anyone was looking to add to their group or if any others going solo wanted to link and make new friends. I’m in the Tampa area so if anyone is local I can give a ride and back :)

Late Wristband Delivery

I ordered a wristband but I'll need to leave before it gets delivered. Will they just give me another wristband if I show my order at the gate? Thanks in advance for any help.

Bike Racks??

I desperately want to bring my bike but I know it’s not going to realistically fit in my suv on top of everything I need to camp. Sooo considering I’m “only 3 hours away 😅” I wanted to ask what everyone’s opinion would be at the possibility of driving my drive there tomorrow maybe and locking it up somewhere until I’m there Wednesday?? I was already really wanting to bring it to explore anyways but now that they posted the bike ride on Friday, I gotta figure out a way to make it happen. Any recommendations welcome 🥹💛

Also so excited to be at my first hula with everyone this day NEXT WEEK!! AHHHH!!! 🥹🥹🥹💛💛💛🙏🙏🙏

Camping Monster tent and general location advice; first time camping

Hey all! First time at Hula and first time for many in my group camping/ at a fest at all. I was originally going to post looking for advice about where to camp.

We have 6 people with 3 tents, a hammock and a canopy tent. Which seemed manageable but my mom impulse bought a huge 11 person 15x17 tent last night.

Is it feasible that we will have room for this thing coming in early Wednesday morning?

Also any ideas on where we can camp that will potentially accommodate a hammock, our large ass tent and be closish to the fest while being quiet late at night? Myself and my partner are hoping to find renegades but we don't want to be close to the noise as we have some light sleepers and first time campers in the rest of the group.

I realize this is kind of a godly locks ask haha

Anyway thanks for any advice, soooooo excited can't wait to see y'all at the lake!

Question Rv drop off in 80 acres question.

We are having rv delivered to hula on Thursday sometime in the morning. I saw a post from a year ago asking about rv drop off and hopefully the person who answered that person question can assist here now a year later. Just wanted to ask if anyone has the link to prepay the delivery drop off fee as well if you have any info on what the process is for rv delivery. The person we rented the rv is driving from Jacksonville and just want to make sure it’s as smooth as possible for them to deliver

Question Any Videographers/Photographers Have Experience Bringing Cameras In?

Hey y’all! 🎃 I have a question about bringing cameras into Hulaween!

I know the rules say cameras with detachable lenses aren’t permitted without the proper credentials, but I’m curious about how strictly that’s enforced and what the process is for getting permission.

I’m a professional videographer and photographer, and I’d love to capture some cool moments at the festival! I specialize in capturing movement artists, performers, events, DJs, festivals, artists etc…. I shoot on a Sony A7S III with a 28-70mm lens, so it’s definitely a professional setup. I’ve noticed some photographers walking around with professional cameras who don’t necessarily seem to be part of the official media team, so I’m wondering how that works. Are there ways to get a media pass outside of the official team, or do some people get approved through other channels?

Also, has anyone ever had issues bringing in a camera with a detachable lens? If security sees you with one, do they just turn you away at the gate, make you take it back to your car, or is there a chance of it being confiscated? I’m also curious whether they’d say anything if they saw you using one inside the festival.

Not trying to cause any trouble — just curious about other people’s experiences and whether there’s a legitimate way to make it happen! Any insight would be appreciated 🫶📸

Grocery situation when taking shuttle!?

Hi!

This will be my first hula and I am SO excited!

I'm flying into Jacksonville from Phoenix and I'll be camping with The Best In Tents so my camp stuff will be all ready to go, BUT I am unsure how to work out the grocery situation.

I guess I can shuttle from jax to hula, then uber to walmart and back first thing. That's all I got lol.

If anyone else has any ideas or wants to organize a group grocery run, LMK!

Can't wait to see you all there <3

RV Pumping on site for Dry RV people

This will be my second year bringing a RV to Hula, we have a Dry RV pass and we typically camp way out beyond the Grand Hall off River Road heading towards the beach (near the tree house). Anyways, last year we had no luck tracking down a pumper truck and curious if others with Dry RV passes have been able to find a pump truck in the past? Let me know if you have insights or best place to find them on site.

Camping Questions for those who have done glamping

First timer. GA glamper. Can you take a privacy tent for a personal toilet? I heard somewhere the tents might be too close for that but forgot where and I just want to make sure. would be nice for when the restrooms get rough plus gi troubles make me need to run to the toilet asap every morning so I would prefer one right next to me. But if not I’m sure i can probably tough it out. Thanks! One more week!!!

1st Time Hulaweenie update!

Hi guys! I posted a couple months ago that me and my best friend (now M27, M26) were going to Hulaween for the first time and how I bought his pass so he could come with me. So the surprise made his way to him early, he was indeed excited and put in the time off. However, with the Hurricane Isaias that just hit and the fact it made him lose work as well as numerous other problems, he had to pull out. God how that almost killed me. I almost gave up on going to Hulaween. This was supposed to be the last hurrah together for a little while, we’re both now entering our late 20s and we have to get financially straight, but Im not gonna let this bring me down. I worked way too hard for way too long to not go at this point, so Im gonna take my other best friend with me.

When I tell you Im so fucking ready for this trip, Im absolutely excited. Ive grinded so much between two jobs and uber driving on the weekends, Ive finally assembled the perfect camping configuration, Ive still endured through this FUCKING HELLHOLE of a hurricane (day 5 technically of no power at 2:15am), I will not let anything stop this weekend from happening. Im certain this is gonna be the greatest festival of my life. I can’t wait to see you all there. Catch me deep in the woods getting fucking wonkered to some minnesota gob chob!
