MOD Important: New Marketplace Rules, Video Timestamps & Payment Changes

Hey r/HomeLabSales!

We are introducing cleaner and stricter marketplace rules to help combat AI-generated timestamps and improve trust and safety for all transactions.

Timestamp Requirements - Effective Immediately

A valid timestamp must include:

  • Current date within the last week.
  • Seller's Reddit username

Video Timestamp Requirement

All sales posts that are valued at $400 or above must now include a video timestamp.

The video must meet the following requirements:

  • Show all items being sold, including multiples of the same item.
  • Clearly display the timestamp throughout the entire recording.
  • Show the seller rotating each item and changing camera angles while both the item and timestamp remain visible.
  • Be unedited and recorded in a single continuous take.

Additional Photos

Any photos included beyond the required timestamp video must also contain the same valid timestamp.

Exception: CDI/CrystalDiskInfo screenshots, SmartCTL reports, and other diagnostic/specs screenshots captured directly from a computer screen do not require a physical timestamp.

Note: The moderation team cannot manually review every timestamp. If you see a suspicious or invalid timestamp, please report it.

Approved Payment Methods - Effective Immediately

For all online transactions:

  • PayPal Goods & Services, also known as PayPal G&S, is the only accepted payment method going forward. Please report anyone not using G&S or is requesting any other forms of payment to ship goods.

For local, in-person transactions:

  • Cash, PayPal Friends & Family, or other mutually agreed payment methods remain permitted.

Posts requesting or requiring alternative online payment methods for online transactions will be removed.

Shipping & Responsibility

  • Sellers are responsible for accurately describing the condition of all items.
  • Tracking information must be provided promptly after shipment.
  • Buyers should inspect items promptly upon delivery and report any issues to the seller as soon as reasonably possible.

Rule Violations & Enforcement

We understand these are new requirements and want to provide the community with a short adjustment period.

Beginning July 1, 2026, these rules will be enforced strictly and consistently.

Potential enforcement actions include:

  • Post removal
  • Temporary bans
  • Permanent bans for repeated or intentional violations
  • Marketplace restrictions at moderator discretion

These changes are intended to protect both buyers and sellers and keep the subreddit safe for transactions.

Please let us know in the comments if you have any feedback. As always, you can also reach out via modmail.

Edits:

After reading through the comments, we understand that video timestamps maybe a hassle for smaller value items, so we’re keeping the same rule active currently, i.e. anything over $400 value will require a video timestamp.

Also, you will NOT need a video timestamp if you’ve got >10 trades on your account.

Our main goal was to curb posting by completely new accounts and to avoid AI generated timestamps. The influx of AI generated pictures and scammers has gone up significantly.

[LabB0T] Monthly Confirmed Trades Thread - October 2026

Confirmed Trades Thread - October 2026

When a successful trade, sale, or purchase has been completed, post one top-level comment describing what occurred. Use one of these formats:

Failure to adhere to this format will result in the bot letting you know the trade could not be parsed, or it may be completely ignored. If your trade is not parsed within 1 hour, please delete your comment and try again. If you still cannot get it to parse, please send a modmail.

Do not edit your comments. Once your trade is read, whether it is parsed or not, it will never be reprocessed.

When your trade is successfully parsed, the bot will reply to your comment with a message indicating the trade has been logged. The following will then happen:

Trade Confirmation Flow

  • LabB0T picks up the trade and successfully parses it.
    • A confirmation link will be sent to the other party via Reddit message/chat notification.
    • LabB0T will reply to the top-level comment indicating the trade has been logged.
    • In the event a Reddit message/chat cannot be sent, the trade is declined and the bot will post a reply explaining what to do next.
  • The other party will need to follow the link sent to them via Reddit message/chat notification. The link will take them to https://trades.labb0t.org/ where they can confirm the trade.
  • Once confirmed by the other party, the trade will be marked as verified in the backend database.
  • On its next tick, LabB0T will see the trade has been verified.
    • The flair will be updated for both users in the subreddit.
    • LabB0T will edit its existing reply in the trade thread to indicate the trade has been confirmed.
    • The status on https://trades.labb0t.org/ will be updated to reflect the trade has been completed.

Important Notes

  • Only one trade should be mentioned in each top-level comment - multiple items still constitute a single trade if the receiving party is the same.
  • Do not edit comments.
  • The other party must have allowed chat requests from either, all users, users whose account age is greater than 30 days, or u/LabB0T to receive the confirmation link.
  • If the bot's pending reply has not been updated after 30 days, the trade has expired and should be re-submitted if needed.
  • Do not submit or confirm trades until the items are received.
  • Each user can only confirm a trade once (no self-confirmations).
  • As of the v3 rewrite (this version), you may comment whatever you like in the trade thread so long as it is a reply and not a top-level comment.

Public Ledger

The v3 rewrite of this module has brought with it a public ledger of all trades. This ledger is available at https://trades.labb0t.org/.

By using this system, you agree that your Reddit username and trade information will be publicly displayed on the ledger. You cannot opt out of this. The ledger/verification system as a whole has been built to be an auditable, transparent system. No nefarious tracking or data collection has been implemented.

I understand some of you may not like that a third party service is being used for this now, but my goal for this was to remove as much from Reddit as possible. Reddit's standpoint on the API continues to be hostile towards third party apps/developers and my skills are better served using something that works well and not fighting this platform.

Need Help?

If manual review is needed, please send a modmail with as much information as possible.

Thank you for all those that waited patiently for this new system and offered their help.

US-W [FS][US-NV] Lot of 52x Ubiquiti UniFi U6-Pro Access Points - Bulk Pricing Available

Thumbnail
gallery
50 Upvotes

Hey everyone, my company recently upgraded our entire wireless infrastructure to RUCKUS, so I have a massive lot of used UniFi 6 Pro (U6-Pro) access points to offload. There are 52 units available in total.

All units were pulled from a working corporate ceiling-mount environment. They are fully functional. I'd prefer to sell these in batches to save on shipping trips, so I've discounted multi-unit orders.

1 Unit: $120 shipped

2-4 Units: $115 each shipped

5 Units: $105 each shipped

Paypal G&S for payment.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

US-E [PC][US-OH] Dell R740xd (XC740xd), 2x Gold 6254, 768GB, 12x 18TB WD Red Pro

Looking for a sanity check before I list this. I've got a few quotes from resellers but I don't want to ship a heavy server. I'd like to sell it all as one bundle, local pickup around Cleveland.

Server is a Dell EMC XC740xd-12, which is R740xd hardware. 2U, 12x 3.5" front bays plus the optional rear cage with 4x 2.5" bays, so 16 bays total.

  • 2x Xeon Gold 6254 (18C, 3.1GHz)
  • 768GB: 24x 32GB Samsung DDR4-2133 LRDIMM (M386A4G40DM0-CPB)
  • PERC H730P Mini, 2GB cache, in HBA mode
  • BOSS-S1 with 2x WD Blue SA510 1TB M.2
  • Intel X710/I350 NDC (2x 10GbE SFP+, 2x 1GbE)
  • 2x 1100W PSU
  • iDRAC9 Enterprise
  • TPM module installed
  • ReadyRails, all 12 front caddies and 4 rear 2.5" caddies, no bezel

Fans: three fan cages come with it.

Drives are 12x WD Red Pro 18TB (WD181KFGX), 216TB raw. All 12 pass SMART with zero reallocated sectors, pending sectors, uncorrectable sectors, CRC errors and read errors, and all report 100% helium. They sit around 27°C. Full smartctl output on request.

Bay Power-on hours Years Power cycles Max temp
0 26,786 3.1 88 35°C
1 26,786 3.1 88 36°C
2 26,786 3.1 88 35°C
3 26,785 3.1 88 37°C
4 26,785 3.1 88 34°C
5 26,785 3.1 87 35°C
6 26,562 3.0 61 34°C
7 26,562 3.0 62 34°C
8 19,256 2.2 1,602 42°C
9 19,259 2.2 1,602 41°C
10 13,200 1.5 161 40°C
11 19,257 2.2 1,602 41°C

Bays 0–7 I bought new in 2023. Bays 8–11 I bought used in 2025 to fill the extra bays after I upgraded from an R530, which is why their power-cycle counts are higher.

BOSS M.2s: 2x WD Blue SA510 1TB, bought new March 2025, used only as a mirrored boot drive. iDRAC shows 0% endurance left, which is a known BOSS reporting quirk with non-Dell drives.

At current used eBay asking prices the parts add up to about $9,300. I was thinking $8,500 for the whole bundle, local cash.

Reseller offers so far, all mail-in:

  • $7,450: server at $2,650 plus drives at $400 each
  • $5,315: server $2,235 (RAM at $70/stick, CPUs at $60 each), drives at $250 each, extras $80
  • $3,000–3,200 for just the RAM, CPUs and M.2s

Questions:

  1. Is $8,500 realistic for a local bundle, or should I list closer to the top reseller offer?
  2. Would I do better splitting the drives from the server?
  3. Is ~$400 each fair for used 18TB Red Pros right now?

US-W [PC][US-CA] 45Drives Storinator Q30 Enhanced + XRackPro2 12U acoustic rack + APC Smart-UPS – value together vs separately?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Posting for a friend who is winding down a video production company and has a professional storage setup consisting of a 45Drives Storinator Q30 Enhanced, XRackPro2 acoustic server rack (believed to be the 12U model), and APC Smart-UPS rackmount UPS.

We're trying to determine reasonable current values for the Storinator and XRackPro in particular, and whether it makes more sense to sell the setup together or separate the components.

Storinator Q30 Enhanced configuration:

• Supermicro X10SRL motherboard
• Intel Xeon E5-2620
• 16GB RAM
• HighPoint Rocket 750 HBA
• 500GB boot drive + redundant boot drive
• Corsair HX750 PSU
• Ethernet adapter
• CentOS
• Original rack rails

The Q30 is populated with hard drives, but we haven't inventoried them yet, so installed capacity and drive models are currently unknown. Given the weight and the way it's installed in the rack, we're hoping to avoid removing the chassis just to inspect them. For purposes of this price check, assume the drives are not included in the valuation.

XRackPro:
The Storinator is installed in the XRackPro2 acoustic server rack shown in the photos. We believe it's the 12U model, based on its size, but would appreciate confirmation from anyone familiar with these. It's on casters and appears to be in good physical condition.

APC UPS:
There's also an APC Smart-UPS rackmount unit installed below the Storinator. We're assuming this probably makes sense to value/sell separately, but would welcome input on that as well.

The equipment has been sitting unused for several years. We're particularly interested in:

• Current value of the Q30 Enhanced as a complete server vs. chassis/rails
• Current value/interest in the XRackPro2
• Whether the Storinator + acoustic rack would be more attractive as a package or separately
• What additional information would be most useful to determine value

Located in Southern California. Given the size and weight, local pickup would be strongly preferred.

Thanks for any guidance.

Synology DS918+: $350

COMES WITH NO DRIVES!!! Runs the latest synology os as of a month or so ago when I turned it off.

Contains an extra 4GB RAM module (204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM) for a total of 8GB of RAM

Used for a few years as the nas in my homelab.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M910Q: $350

(People who complained about the price on the original post: the two 16GB sticks of DDR4-2400 260-pin SO-DIMM retail for ~$100/ea. You also are getting a 1TB nvme which, while used, retails at $200 new, AND a whole computer AND I'm footing shipping which is about $50.)

NO OS. Despite the beautiful Windows sticker on this, this has been a linux box as long as it's been in my possession. Its wiped and has a default debian installation on it. You'll probably want to change that when you get it.

Used as a proxmox host for a while.

Missing back port cover, but has the port riser so a pci-e card can be plugged in.

Specs:

Intel i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60 gHz, 8 cores

32 GB RAM: DDR4-2400 260-pin SO-DIMM sockets,

1TB M2 nvme drive (total power on time: ~3 years according to smartctl)

Intel Graphics 630HD with 2 displayport outputs

Intel 200 Series PCH HD Audio

1 gbps ethernet port

Wireless LAN & Bluetooth

Includes stupid power brick. (All power bricks are stupid)

8 port HDMI KVM: $70

MT-VIKI 8 Port KVM Switch HDMI (MT-801HK-C)

8x HDMI+USB-A connectors

1x wired remote

1x power wart plug
https://www.mt-viki.net/product/hdmi-kvm-switch-8-in-1-out-with-ir-remote-control/

(note: the wireless remote is not present but in that photo on the website. if i can find it, yay! you win!)

Beelink EQ12: $250

NO OS! This runs debian right now. It's only ever run linux in my house.

Used as a proxmox server for a while.

This box is 16GB RAM & 256GB M2 NVME drive and has an Intel N100 processor.

See the link for details from beelink

Gently used raspberry pi zero 2w for sale, includes case. Used as pi hole for a month and decided to go with a model with Ethernet port. Zero issues with this pi. Formatted MicroSD card can be included for an extra $10, but it’s extremely simple to set up yourself.

Looking for $350 OBO - local pickup in the Miami/Broward area only.

I also have a pending sale for a loaded (and old) Dell 620 - if you're interested you can pick up both for $500 - anyone taking both gets priority.

I switched racks as I no longer need room for full-length equipment.

It's in great condition and includes all the original accessories:

  • Original shelf and PD
  • Optional leveling feet (currently on lockable casters)
  • 6 keys for the locking side panels and front door (locks all work)
  • Upgraded exhaust fan at the top (original was loud AF and moved little air)
  • I tinted the front panel with 5% although that's easily removable

I can also toss in a bunch of cage nuts (but please just buy Rackstuds and save your fingers)

US-E [PC][US-GA] Two Dell PowerEdge R710 Servers

I have two R710s that I no longer use, I know they're not really worth much at all anymore but wanted to see if it'd be worth selling them whole or just selling the parts and taking the chassis and stuff to an electronics recycling center. Leaning toward the latter, since it'd definitely make shipping easier and cheaper. Thank you all!
