Hair transplant patient New hair who dis? — 6 month post-op! 2600 grafts

As many other guys (rightfully so), say, best decision ever! Was on topical minoxidil, switched to 5mg oral. No fin yet might start topical at some point, still weighing up possible side effects from this. Very happy with the “halfway mark”!

1st Transplant progress

I posted my crown in another post about a 5 month comparison I’m feeling confident with and someone asked about my first transplant at the front and progress.

Pic 1 is from March of this year - 9 months post surgery. Hopefully showing my face is ok - I don’t actually care if people know I had a hair transplant. I’m very open about it. It isn’t a top down photo, but I don’t have any so hopefully people ‘see’ that I have a good hairline and… well… hair.

Pic 2 is pre-surgery from my consultation determining what the first transplant could reasonably cover.

I’m quite thrilled with this result which is why I went to the same doc for #2.

Hair transplant patient Is this shedding normal on Day 25 after a hair transplant? (Day 0 and day 25 photos attached)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently on Day 25 after my hair transplant, during which around 3,000 grafts were implanted in my frontal hairline.

I’ve recently noticed shedding, and on one occasion (on 20th day), after scratching my scalp, I noticed a patch that looked almost completely bald. This has made me concerned about whether I’m experiencing normal post-transplant shedding or if I might have lost some grafts.

I’m attaching photos from the day of surgery (Day 0) and Day 25 so you can assess shedding.

I’d appreciate your thoughts on a few questions:

● Is this amount of shedding normal around Day 25?
● Can scratching at this stage cause graft loss, or are the grafts generally secure by now?
● If a patch looks completely bald, can the follicles still be alive beneath the skin?
● Has anyone experienced something similar and eventually achieved good density?

I understand that everyone heals differently, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been through the same experience, especially those who are several months or a year post-transplant.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and advice!

PADRA Clinic Toronto – My FUE Hair Transplant Experience

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my experience since I had my FUE hair transplant at PADRA Clinic in Toronto

I believe I was somewhere between a Norwood 2 and 3. My main goal was to fix my receding hairline, fill in my temples, and add some density to the front.

The whole thing was done over two days, with a follow-up visit for cleaning.

Day 1: I got there around 8:30 AM and finished around 2:30 PM, so about 6 hours. They mainly worked on my hairline and frontal area. Pain-wise, the anesthesia injections were definitely the worst part lol. Once my head was numb, it was actually pretty easy. I did have a headache and some discomfort afterward, but nothing too crazy.

Day 2: Started again in the morning and was there for about half a day. This time they focused more on adding density and connecting the new hairline with my existing hair. Again, the injections weren't fun, but the rest was pretty manageable.

Day 3: Went back to the clinic for my first wash and to get the bandages removed. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and was pretty straightforward. No real pain or discomfort during the cleaning.

Overall, pretty happy with the experience so far!

Recovery has been surprisingly easy. Almost no pain, barely any itching, and everything seems to be healing well. The only annoying thing has been the swelling, which started around my forehead and eventually moved down to my left eye. Thankfully, it's slowly getting better.

Obviously, it's way too early to know how the final results will look, but I figured I'd share my experience since I know a few people here have been asking about PADRA.

I'll try to keep updating with pictures over the next few months so you can see how things progress.

Feel free to ask me any questions! Also curious to hear what you guys think about the hairline and coverage, especially around the temples!

\*\*\*\*\*Btw I wrote the script with ai so dont be surprised if it sounds too polish for an intro lol 🤪🤪🤪😝😶‍🌫️

Hello, I’m one month post–hair transplant, and my clinic recommended that I buy these products, saying they would help improve the final results. However, I’m wondering if they’re actually beneficial or if it’s mainly marketing. Could someone please advise me? Are there any supplements I should buy?

Help. Dislodged/damaged graft(s)?

Thumbnail

I’m day 9 post-op and my scabs began to naturally come off during my daily wash. I know that grafts are locked in and secure by day 9, so with gentle rubs, I completed my scab removal today.

I have a few stubborn scabs left I’ll let come off on their own, but I’m worried about 2 spots in particular. One has some blood it seems. Are these dislodged? Damaged?

Shedding experience after 2nd transplant

This may seem like an odd question but I am getting a 2nd transplant for some added density to the frontal 1/3 of my scalp. First transplant was 2300 grafts and went fantastic. I just want more density under certain light.
This transplant will be more like 1500 or less. For those of you who have had 2 transplants, did you shed the same, more, or less than the first transplant?
I don’t know why I’m thinking it might be less…just trying to map out the ugly duckling period.
Thanks for any advice.

Hair transplant recommendations PLEASE – UK vs Turkey/Europe (£6k budget)

Hi everyone!

Appreciate this has probably been covered in other threads, so apologies if I'm repeating what's already been asked!

I'm looking to get a hair transplant of around 3,500 grafts, covering the hairline and crown. My budget is around £6k (€7k).

I'm based in the UK and would ideally prefer to have it done here, although I appreciate that finding a really good surgeon at this price point might be difficult. If anyone has any UK recommendations, I'd be really interested to hear them. Otherwise, I'm happy to travel to Turkey or elsewhere in Europe.

Ideally, I'd like a reputable surgeon who performs most of the procedure themselves start to finish / or the majority of the process - rather than leaving the majority to technicians.

I would really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences.

Thanks so much in advance for any advice, really appreciate it!

Hair transplant doctor After HT drugs / drinks

Regarding potential damage to the hair—specifically after a transplant—is there a certain waiting period before one can consume alcohol, marijuana, or cocaine? Haha, just asking out of general curiosity; I’m sure this would be helpful for many people here to know! ❤️🫶🏻

HT when you need to use a cpap?

What are the workarounds for those who use a cpap? My mask wraps around my whole head but even if I switched to the one that wraps only one way around the back, it'd affect the donor area?

Hair loss advice Can I get a HT now?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey there. I am currently using topical Min (%5) and topical fin (%0.1) for the last 8 months daily, I also use ketoconazole shampoo x2/week. I have started with dermastamping weekly for the last month. This is my current progress. I have no sides.

My question is this: I have a HT appointment for the end of December and I am not sure if I should wait another year or if I could just get it now. Right nnow would be perfect time with me having more stability and business trips being less and such.

I am not sure how much more difference would the medicine make after 10 months and I really want to get the HT and be done with it. I also want to maximize the graft count. I have heard that I have a good donor area + I have pretty strong beard and a lot of chest hair if needed.

I am also fearful if I would be a harder case for the doctor since I am diffuse thinner and there is not so much place to add the grafts, they have to place all of them in between. The doctor is a pretty suggested one here, so no worries there, it’s not a hairmill.

Thank you in advance!

Long story short, everything has been going smoothly, and happy with the results so far, but there is one scab that just isn’t budging. Any advice/ experience on how to encourage it along from others who have had the procedure?

Hair transplant patient Stem Cell treatment and few

Hi guys,

Im pretty new to this group, i did a hairtransplant back in 2024, and honestly i do need another one to fill up my crown area more. They used DHI/FUE technique (im assuming FUE is the extraction part) i did forget alot of knowledgable information on hairtransplants so im not entirely sure what i am talking about.

Having said that, in my first procedure they did the stem cell treatment too, for the second transplant would i need another stem cell treatment? its quite expensive, but i do want maximum coverage as much as possible. Also im not entirely sure how strong my donor areas are now after the first one, its not too strong but the clinic's doctor did say im a candidate for it (tho he did mention if needed we can take grafts from the beard but i told him i do not want it). (also my procedure was done at Promed in Turkey)

So my three questions are, how effective is stem cell, and would i need another one for my second hair transplant?

And also, anyone else had a not so strong donor area, but their result were decent?

Thank you in advance and i apologize for the lack of quality in the pictures!
