Basketball University: Andrew Wiggins’ offensive game is perfect for filling the gaps next to a high gravity superstar… Saw it with Steph, and now we will with Giannis. Timely cutting, subtle relocations on the 3P line, sprinting in transition, end-of-shot clock midrange game.

HYPED Three thoughts on this team
Wiggins = Winning
Good games by Wiggins will almost always translate to a W
Bam grows next to Gianni's
Being on the court and same team as Gianni's is going to turn Bam into a total beast. He is going to want to play with more intensity than ever and that has always been an issue for him. He attacks for a quarter or two and then looks passive...well, not this year. This year we get straight aggression from Bam and that is HUGE!
Gianni's is still a top 3 player
Everyone forgot but this season he will remind them.

Giannis on Davion: He’s incredible and he’s tough to keep up with. He goes so fast — you see the difference when Ryan comes into the game and Davion is out. We have to keep on that pace, like that pace is dangerous — people don’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace
x.comFull quote: “He’s incredible and he’s tough to keep up with. He goes so fast — you see the difference when Ryan comes into the game and Davion is out — our pace kind of slows down. Obviously Ryan is young and it’s his first year in the league but we have to keep on that pace, like that pace is dangerous — people don’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace — I didn’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace…I love playing with him (Davion)…whenever I don’t touch the ball…he’s always going to check in with me and make sure I get a touch…”

[Reynolds] Giannis tonight through three quarters: 20 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists, 3 blocked shots. Nobody in Heat history has ever done all that in a full game, regular-season or playoff variety. (LeBron and Bam have one such game each, if you change it to two blocks.)

Discussion Our team looks great and the analysts will regret underrating us yet again.
Now I am not saying we are the best team ever or anything or that we are a shoo-in to win the chip. But if you actually look at the team I see everything you would want in a championship team rn:
-Easily the best defensive frontcourt in Giannis and Bam and both can facilitate really well too.
-In general one of the best starting 5 in the league in terms of defense with our weakest defender being Klay who even rn at his worst is still a decent defender.
-Our fast pace which fits both our 2 best players and should make for a high octane offense
-No shooters? If anything we have EXCESS shooters. Wiggs, Davion, Klay in the starting unti can all shoot and Bam can hit 3s at a decent-ish rate too. Then on the bench you have Portis, THJ, Jovic, Fonteccio, Gardner, Dru and Conwell
-Speaking of all those names, them alongside Pelle and Nic and we surprisingly actually have pretty good depth too alongside an already great starting 5.
-Giannis being the threat he is in the paint will create so many open 3s for others and then in turn the threat of those 3s will make it so Giannis can easily get to the paint
-Goes without saying but we have the best coach in the league
TLDR: I think we have both the offense, defense and the depth to potentially go all the way.
