Subreddit moderators are volunteers. As such, we should not be burdened by having to constantly review posts made by bad-faith posters.
The vast majority of the people who comment on this subreddit are fine. However, in the last thirty days 33% of all comments made on this subreddit have been removed by Reddit Admins.
We, as Moderators, review these removals. While we have overturned a dozen or so of Reddit removals, we are in agreement with nearly all of Reddit's removals.
So, starting today, the following policy goes into effect. If you accrue 3 removals by Reddit Admins, you will be perma-banned from this subreddit.
We will also be heavily targeting bad-faith posters. We could use your help by having our members report bad-faith posters.
Remember "I was only defending myself" and "I was only pointing out how dumb he is" are not valid excuses when breaking Reddit rules.
How to prevent Reddit from removing your comments?
Use common sense. If you're outright insulting people or dropping multiple vulgarities in a single comment, Reddit is going to catch you.
Finally, I want to say this . . .
Most of you should have no problem with this post, because it doesn't pertain to you. If this post makes you angry, there is a good chance you're part of the problem.

Quick and simple question: in two paragraphs, tell me who your favorite wrestler is (it doesn’t matter if they’re a man or a woman, or which era or promotion they’re from) and why. Mine is The Undertaker, because of that "satanic, beyond-the-grave" aura that we’re all familiar with—I could say more, but then again, who doesn’t know "The Deadman"?

What is something that always winds you up regardless of who is doing it or saying it? It can be a wrestler, a company or even the fans themselves.

I know a decent amount of people don’t like John Cena but he should get more credit for helping Wwe’s and wrestlings image as a whole out during the Benoit tragedy.
a lot of families and kids stopped watching during the Benoit tragedy due to how bad the incident was and do how bad the mainstream media was going in on WWE.
people forget just how bad people like Nancy grade were going in on Wwe constantly bringing up the steroid issues and all of the other issues that were going on at the time.
cena due to his make a wish and good guy image in the mainstream outside world really helped WWE fix thier image up in the mainstream and helped them bring in loads and loads of kids and families to the product in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
and helped them get alot of the sponsorships they have been getting since the move to going PG.

WWE has given us some legendary storylines, but some endings completely ruined months (or even years) of buildup.
Was it The Fiend vs. Randy Orton, the nWo-style Bloodline story after WrestleMania 40, or something else entirely?
Which storyline had the most disappointing ending, and why? 👇

Adam Copeland has announced that 2027 will be his last year in professional wrestling.

I'd say somewhere around 1994-1996. There's a reason why the New Generation was the least successful era in the company's history. Go look at the 1995 Royal Rumble participants. Dire. The company was full of stupid gimmicks at the time such as Mantaur, The Dumpster, The Goon, TL Hopper, etc.
Dishonourable mentions to 2004 and 2010-2011. In 2004, Rock and Austin were retired and the company did not have a FOTC, especially after Lesnar left. You had a bunch of failed experiments like Heidenreich, Mordecai and Eugene. And SmackDown's roster, in particular, was dreadful, with people like the Basham Brothers, Jillian Hall, Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak. Which is why they had to put the title on Bradshaw, repackaging him as JBL. Kurt Angle was a GM for a while and Big Show was on the shelf. Didn't Undertaker face the Dudleyz in a main event on PPV around this time? Goldberg also left earlier that year. He was a Raw guy, but alas.
2010-2012... Cena and Orton were basically the only stars with Punk a step below. Taker became WM exclusive after the Kane feud and Triple H became an authority figure. This is the time period that gave us a billion matches between Sheamus and Alberto del Rio, let's not forget. Sheamus did not become as big as WWE intended, and ADR never got that much heat from the crowd despite his strong push. And JACK SWAGGER, of all people, was World Champion for a bit. Lesnar's return plus the Shield debuting began turning things around for the company.

I'll probably get a lot of heat for this but to be clear, I think he's a legend of the business. However, as someone who was around during the 90s and 00s it feels like a mystique based on rose-tinted spectacles has built around him.
1. He was never 'the guy' - fans give guys like Triple H and Chris Jericho heat for this. But when was the Undertaker ever the guy? He was a top tier talent no doubt, but he was never the star attraction or the one at the top of the mountain drawing the money. I remember in the 90s/00s he got decent pops but was clearly playing second fiddle to Austin, The Rock and sometimes others like Mankind.
2. He was a mediocre draw as champion - he only held the title for 36 days during the Attitude Era. His early reigns in 1991 and 1997 were during low periods for the business and the 2002 run coincided with another decline in the business. Promoters saw him as an attraction who didn't need the belt to get over, but it's interesting his total reigns were less than guys like JBL, The Miz, Diesel, Yokozuna and Edge.
3. The famed Streak was a total accident and finessed - It didn't really become a thing until about WM 23. Some of the matches with guys like King Kong Bundy and Big Bossman were poor and he also beat guys multiple times (Triple H - 3 matches, Shawn Michaels - 2 matches). He even missed WM X due to injury.
4. He had almost zero mainstream crossover appeal - he never hosted late night shows, never did adverts, wasn't in movies, rarely appeared outside anywhere. I think fans overestimate how well known he actually was outside of wrestling circles. Sure, he's got a bit more recognition now due to his longevity but at the height of the Attitude Era I wouldn't have put him in the Top 5 wrestlers that average people would have been able to name.
5. His late career was marred by injuries and poor matches - the boneyard match was great. But he also had very poor matches. Brock at WM 30, Goldberg at Crown Jewel and the tag match with DX.
I'm not saying he's not a legend. His longevity, the character he created and the whole attraction around it, his persona as a locker room general.
But when people put him on their Mount Rushmore of top 3-4 wrestlers of all time I think they're nuts! He's top 10 for sure, but I wouldn't have him anywhere near the conversation.

Objectively speaking who would you consider to be the greatest of all time in terms of image, screen presence, showmanship, promo/mic skills, charisma and of course in-ring skills.
Let’s settle this debate once and for all.
My answer: The Goat of pro-wrestling is Hulk Hogan. He played the biggest babyface/superhero in the 80s to 90s. The OG megastar of pro-wrestling. He helped pioneer a new era where wrestling became mainstream and a worldwide global phenomenon becoming a cornerstone of 80s/90s pop culture.
Hogan also played the biggest heel/villain when he was revealed as the third man along with Hall & Nash and thus the NWO was born. Changing the wrestling business once again. Transcending Kayfabe and the boundaries of storytelling and narrative. Hogan is not the best in-ring worker, not the best gimmick, not the best promo but he was the greatest hero of wrestling whilst simultaneously being the greatest villain too. Now that is the GOAT of wrestling.

It has better Titantron music, production value, wrestling technicality, and is still aggressive and awesome. I like the visual effects that appear sometimes, like the WWE logo transition that comes on sometimes.
My favorite part is John Cena vs Edge 2006.
This is from me watching a handful of storylines from each. So far, Attitude Era hasn't clicked me as much. I really love all the alt rock, post grunge, or general rock music that Ruthless Aggression used a bunch.

According to the article, it has something to do with gaming, specifically for mobile/handheld devices.
