Hello! First time poster so hopefully I get this right. I purchased RDR2 as it's quite discounted atm. Not realising I had already purchased it years ago. I have a code, I'm not sure how I decide who gets it ? Is it a first come first served?

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Cyberpunk 2077

• Upvotes

Okay here I go again and honestly I am praying that I can spin a lot of words now just to get my request accepted.

So yesterday was my birthday and I was hoping that my fiance would buy me cyberpunk 2077 because I saw that it was on sale, on my birthday of all days. He did not because he had other plans on what to get me for my birthday.

I finished the base game a couple of days ago and it was truly something that made me obsessed. I ended up reading the comics and cannot get the game out of my mind. Now you are probably thinking why am I here requesting the base game if I already played it? Well simple reason is that I played on family share on my brothers account.

I really want to play the DLC because I am hoping to find the DLC ending more satisfying than the base game ending but I can not buy the DLC because the base game is on my brothers account and not on mine.

I also do not have the money right now to buy the base game for myself. SO here I am requesting the base game from you guys and hoping to buy the dlc for myself when I have the money and it goes on sale again.

Overall the game is a slight obsession for me and you know that if you buy it for me it will be played on not just sitting in someone's library to rot.

I think the game is on sale till the 28th of October for 17usd.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I do hope you consider it. Steam link

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Cyberpunk 2077 - $17.99 (-70% OFF) [Attempt 5]

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!! attempt 5 :)

Cyberpunk somehow went on sale again, so I'm back giving this another try while it's 70% off :)

why I still wanna play it

I don't wanna repeat everything from my other attempts, so I guess the simplest way to put it is that I really want a game I can slowly get into and keep coming back to for a while.

The whole futuristic RPG setting is actually pretty different from what I normally play, which is part of what makes me curious about it. I like the idea of creating my own character, figuring out how I wanna play as I go and just discovering everything without already knowing what the "best" choices are.

I've still managed to stay away from most of the story too. I know the basic stuff everyone probably knows by now, but not much beyond that, and I'd really like my first playthrough to stay that way.

I also love games where finishing the story isn't the only thing there is to do. If I really get into a game, I can easily keep playing it for weeks just because I like being in that world lol

why I'm asking here

I'm a college student rn, and between tuition and the bus I need to get there, most of the money I can spend already has somewhere to go.

So games are usually one of those things I have to leave for later, especially anything at full price.

There's also one kinda funny extra problem in my case, i don't actually have a gaming PC...

I'd be playing Cyberpunk through cloud gaming, which thankfully makes games like this possible for me, but it also means I still have to consider paying for the cloud service whenever I wanna play.

So even with the game being cheaper rn, there's a little more involved for me than just buying it.

Still, gaming is one of my favorite things to do when I finally get home and have some free time. After dealing with college and everything else during the day, sometimes I just wanna sit down, forget about all of that for a bit and play something I can really get into.

And I feel like Cyberpunk could easily be that game for me :)

the sale

It's currently 70% off again, from $59.99 to $17.99, and the sale lasts until October 26.

If anyone happens to have a spare Steam key that activates in Brazil, I'd be more than happy with that too!

Of course anything would be really appreciated šŸ¤

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Elden Ring (Attempt 3)

• Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I’m requesting Elden Ring on Steam because it’s a game I’ve wanted to play for a really long time, but unfortunately I’m not currently in a position where I can afford to buy it myself.

Money has been pretty tight for me recently. After paying for my usual expenses and the things I need, there just isn’t much money left over for something like a full-priced game. I’ve had to be much more careful about what I spend, so even though I really want Elden Ring, I simply can’t justify spending the money on it right now.

The main reason I want Elden Ring so badly is because it looks like exactly the kind of game I can completely lose myself in. I love games where exploration actually feels rewarding and where you aren't constantly being told exactly where to go. The idea of being able to explore the world at my own pace, stumble across hidden areas, find strange enemies and bosses, discover weapons and equipment, and slowly figure things out for myself really appeals to me.

I’m also a huge fan of challenging games, and Elden Ring seems like it would give me that feeling of actually earning my progress. I know I’d probably get destroyed by some of the bosses at first, but that's honestly part of what makes me want to play it. Learning an enemy's attacks, changing my strategy, finally beating something that had been destroying me for hours, and getting that feeling of accomplishment afterwards is something I really enjoy in games.

I’ve also heard so much about how many different ways there are to play. Being able to experiment with different weapons, builds, spells and playstyles sounds like something I could spend hundreds of hours messing around with. I don't just want to finish the game once either — I’d love to explore as much of the world as possible and see what I can discover for myself.

I know there are a lot of people requesting games, and I completely understand if my request isn't chosen. I just wanted to give it a chance and be honest about why I’m asking. If someone was kind enough to gift me Elden Ring, I’d genuinely appreciate it a huge amount and would get an incredible amount of enjoyment out of playing it.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request, and thank you to anyone who considers helping me out!

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Minecraft Dungeons 2 (Attempt 5)

Hey [r/giftofgames](r/giftofgames)!

I’m here to request the newly released Minecraft Dungeons 2 for the fifth attempt

I’ve been waiting for this since it was announced. I really enjoyed the first Minecraft Dungeons, so seeing what they’re doing with the sequel has me genuinely excited. Moving away from the hub-and-mission structure to an actual connected world changes the entire vibe of the game. I’m incredibly hyped to explore the new sift dimension and test out the new four piece gear system and overhauled enchantments. It looks like a massive step up from the first game, and Id love to jump in now while the game and community are brand new.

Why I can't just buy it myself:

I live in Egypt, and buying games internationally can be surprisingly difficult here. The regional price for Minecraft Dungeons II is about $21 USD, which is roughly 1,100 EGP, already a pretty significant amount for me as a university student.

The bigger problem is actually paying for it. The cards I have access to don't support the international online payment I need, and most of the alternatives available locally are third-party gift cards. Those usually come with a pretty painful markup because there aren't many convenient ways to buy international digital goods here. So though the game itself is available in my region at a relatively reasonable regional price, actually being able to pay that price is the difficult part.

That’s why I figured I’d give the generous community of [r/GiftofGames](r/GiftofGames) a shot.

I would be incredibly grateful to anyone willing to help. I'm ready to sink dozens of hours into exploring the Sift and trying out the new enchantment system, and I promise the game will be thoroughly played and appreciated.

I’m not expecting anything, especially since this is a brand-new release and I know it’s a fairly expensive request. I just genuinely love the first game, I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time, and I know I’d get a lot of use out of it.

Here is my Steam ID: steamcommunity.com/id/ziedre/)

Game: store.steampowered.com/app/1912410/Minecraft_Dungeons_II/

Thanks for taking the time to read my request, and thanks to everyone who makes this community what it is :)

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Hitman World Of Assassination (5th attempt)

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I don’t expect this to work but I’ve had my eye on this game for awhile but haven’t been able to get it. I know the fall sales over, but I figured since I’ve tried this why not keep going lol.

What interests me about the game:
I really enjoy stealth games due to the satisfaction of making a plan come to fruition I also love the tension stealth games provide from non direct confrontation (although it depends on how powerful the player is of course) I’ve also heard that world of assassination in particular is really good for emergent gameplay which I’m personally obsessed with, and I’ve heard it compared to ā€œimmersive simsā€ (I find that term way too broad to be useful but I felt the comparison was worth bringing up). This appeals to me a lot because I adore trying to think through something and seeing it go wrong in some way. And while this is just an extra of course, the freelancer mode likely would be good for some fuck around and find out moments. Another thing that may be a bit of a stretch is that it makes me think of pulp magazines and golden age comics (I promise I’m not old just a giant dork lol), a more well known property that would help illustrate my feeling is mission impossible or James Bond.

Why I can’t get it:I recently moved to another state with my mother and haven’t been able to start working due to some paperwork BS that I don’t feel comfortable sharing on here. I was only able to give away the conscript key because it was a dollar on G2A and I was using some crappy survey apps to make some extra money.

Thanks a lot in advance to this community.

I am a fan of Don't Starve Together - which is also an another survival game and receiving this game is super exciting for me not only because of the survival aspects, but also the mystery and the vibe of the game set in the Amazon forest.

I was super excited this whole week to try this game out and now I finally got to download it and I'll be playing it. Thank you for the game! :)

Thank you again u/Katze_Krieg for Green Hell!

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Dark Succubus

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a great day. This is my first time asking for help getting a game on this subreddit, so I thought I’d give it a try!

However, this is like the 5th time I had to post this, because it always gets removed for being too short. I apologize for the big wall of text.

There's a game on Steam that has caught my attention and that game is "Dark Succubus".

Dark Succubus is a horror labyrinth puzzle game that combines exploration, puzzles, and unsettling environments. From what I’ve seen online, its atmosphere and gameplay look really interesting, and I’d love the chance to experience it for myself.

Unfortunately, Dark Succubus is region-locked and unavailable in Germany, where I live. Gaming is one of my main ways to relax and relieve stress, especially when parenting life becomes overwhelming.

I would really appreciate the opportunity to explore its labyrinth, solve its puzzles, and experience its horror elements firsthand rather than only watching it online. It’s disappointing to find a game that interests you but be unable to access it because of your region.

Whether or not my request is fulfilled, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this. Thank you so much for considering it, and I wish you all the best!

REQUEST [Request][Steam] Reanimal Attempt #3

Hello everyone!! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m back once again with my third attempt at requesting Reanimal!

For anyone who happened to read my previous two requests, I wanted to give a little update before getting into why I’m still hoping to get this game!
I’m finally settled into my new apartment and my mom is out of the hospital for now!! After everything that happened over the past few weeks, it genuinely feels nice to have things slowly return to normal.

Something I didn’t really mention in my previous posts was just how much my old living situation affected me physically. Within only a month of living with my previous roommate I actually lost around 5 pounds because of how stressed I was. I’m already underweight, so losing that much weight was definitely NOT something I needed 😭. I’m currently trying to gain that weight back and get myself feeling healthy again.

But anyway, I’m out of there now, THANK GOD!! Hopefully, the next chapter of my life is a lot less eventful because I’ve had enough excitement to last me the rest of the year šŸ’€

Lately, my younger brother and I were trying to figure out what game we could play together. We’re currently staying in different places so we haven’t really been able to spend time together like we used to. We were throwing around ideas when Reanimal suddenly came to mind.

As I’ve mentioned in my previous requests, I’ve played both Little Nightmares 1 (6.5 hours) and Little Nightmares 2 (8.8 hours), and I absolutely loved them. I honestly wish I could erase my memory of both games just to experience them for the first time again.

What made Little Nightmares 2 especially memorable though was having my younger brother beside me while I played. He’d point out things I missed and watched me fail miserably at escaping enemies. I swear there were moments when he was doing more work than me and he wasn’t even holding the controller 😭

Instead of my brother sitting there watching me get chased around he could experience the suffering I went through!

I really do think it would be a fun game for us to experience together especially now that we’re apart. I miss being able to just sit down and enjoy something with him. Having a game we could both look forward to playing would be really nice.

Unfortunately, the problem is still the same as my previous attempts. I just can’t afford to spend $40 on a game right now. Between moving and getting settled into my new apartment, I have other expenses that I need to prioritize. As much as I’d love to buy it myself it’s just not something I can comfortably do at the moment.

I know this is my third time requesting the game and I understand that $40 is a lot of money to ask from someone. I don’t expect anyone to gift it to me and I certainly don’t think my circumstances make me more deserving than anyone else here. I figured I’d give it another shot!

Thank you so much for reading my request and I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day! šŸ’›

P.S. Sorry for kind of treating this as a diary btw lol.

GOG [GoG] Thank you u/BeanTheOppossum for APICO!

I've tried APICO a long time ago when it released, but did not get too much into it (I think in early access?)

I just gotta say: APICO is an amazing game. I'm in the process of 100%'ing it and this game is a blast to play thus far. I've spent the past few days breeding bees and trying to do crazy stuff in the game.

There is just so much content and things to explore.

It's amazing - thank you so much for the gift! u/BeanTheOppossum You are awesome!

u/Tantaurus, thank you so much for this game. It really brought me back nostalgia and it was a blast to play!

Honestly, I gotta say, Slime Rancher 1 was probably one of the best games I've played in recent times. It was absolutely the best 20 or so hours I've spent.

I was able to beat the game with only a few achievements left! Thank you so much for the game, man!

(Apologies for the late-r post!)

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition - Attempt #2

Attempt 2. My first request didn't get gifted, so I'm trying again with a better post.

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo indie dev. I've already released one game, UNEXTINCTION, and now I'm building a first person horror game called NULL. Just me, no team, no publisher. I started on Unreal for fun with tutorials and tiny projects, and I abandoned most of them lol. I kept at it though, and that's how I finally finished my first game.

Horror wasn't really my thing until I played the RE4 Remake. It hit me so hard that I couldn't stop thinking about it. I remember thinking "I want to make someone feel this" That's the reason I'm making horror games today.

Now I want to play Requiem. I'm a real fan, and I also want to study how they build the tension and the scares, because I'm trying to get better at it for NULL.

Money is the problem. Whatever I do have goes into my game. The Deluxe Edition is out of my range, and even the standard one is a stretch, so any edition would honestly make my day.

If someone gifts it, I'll play it and finish it for real. And when I'm doing better I'll gift a game to someone else too. Promise.

Thanks for reading!

DISCUSSION [Discussion] Looking for a friend or more on Steam

Hello GiftofGames community and users. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I am looking for anyone who would like to add me on Steam. It's really hard to look for good friends on Steam since everyone there is usually really hostile, but since most people on r/GiftofGames is nice, I was just wondering if anyone would like to add me on Steam. I would really appreciate it! šŸ™‚ā¤ļø

Thanks!
