My belt is about done!!!! I feel like it was trickier than the pack.

Ok, so just before anyone says anything, this is not gonna be 100% the same as how you'd play in GB the Video game, or Spirits unleashed. It's just a fun little Ghostbusters project.

The wand does have two settings however. Left-click for Capture stream, which pulls the monster in, and right-click for Blast stream, which pushes them away.

The trap has a couple of keybinds, one for dropping, one for picking up if you're close enough, and the last one spawns the "Beam" which stays up for a second unless a monster walks into it.

Eventually i want to figure out how to make the monsters clip through walls so they can behave like real ghosts, and then maybe create a slime mechanic where you need to use the slime blower to shut portals or weaken strengthened enemies.

I desided this year was finally the year I was gonna start on my Gb cosplay. (Been a fan ever since I started watching the films as a kid with my father. And now I finally had about enough money to start buying things for the cosplay. And hopefully I can join the GB Belgium theme…

So my question / show is:

I want to be able to swap my normal patch out for other patches like the two in the box ones or maybe other patches (maybe Gb Belgium pass if I get to be a part of it later) but I still want to be able to put on the normal OG patch. So I desided to buy some circle Velcro which I am going to sew one side of on my flight suit and the other side on the patches. (Added some pictures of the Velcro) this is the only Velcro I am able to buy at the moment.

What do you guys think about the idea? Do you think this will work or be a cool thing or do you think this is maybe not the greatest idea for some reason?

Please let me know cause I need fellow Ghostbusters approval before I do something that may be stupid…

I very recently finished watching every single Ghostbusters movie, and I have know idea what the response here is going to be, especially regarding the 2016 reboot, But this is where I rank them.

Here’s what I think in detail (from best to worst):

1. Ghostbusters (1984): Was there ever any doubt? The only real problem I had with the original movie was the stop motion used on the demon dogs not being all that convincing, especially compared to every other use of special effects in it, but other than that minor thing, I absolutely love this movie!
2. Frozen Empire: I might get flack for this, but I actually enjoyed this movie somewhat. I thought it was the closest thing to a real sequel, even more-so than the actual Ghostbusters II, which I will discuss later. This is despite the addition of the mini Stay-Puft’s that, much like in it’s predecessor, which I will talk about after this, add nothing to the story except provide pointless comic relief that also serves as fan pandering nostalgia bait.
3. Afterlife: This movie is somewhere in the middle of the road for me in terms of quality. I didn’t really enjoy the first half of the movie, I thought the setup was pretty dull, but I liked the second half when the truth is revealed and that’s where things picked up for me, and the ending I thought was a good tribute to Harold Ramis.
4. Ghostbusters (2016): It’s been over ten years since massive parts of the Internet blew up in a fit of rage over this all-female reboot, and after watching this long after the dust has settled, I thought the backlash was overblown considering how serviceable at best this was. There were a few good ideas, like the part where Times Square becomes retro in the climax, and the use of lay lines, but everything else left a lot to be desired. The characters were not all that entertaining (which is an especially a shame for Leslie Jones, because I have seen her on SNL a few times, and she was very fun there.), it has more fan pandering than Afterlife, especially with crowbarred in cameos from the original cast, and half the humor with either unnecessarily crass or fawning over Chris Hemsworth for some odd reason (I understand he’s attractive, but we don’t need to be reminded of that every ten minutes). Believe it or not, I would prefer this over…
5. Ghostbusters II: This is the movie I consider to be the absolute worst of all the Ghostbusters movies, because it’s just a diet version of the original movie with less of what made that original movie great in the first place. At least the other sequels had a few interesting ideas, this one doesn’t.

Hey folks, does anyone know what the best split loom is for the Haslab packs? I am finally getting around to installing my GPSTAR kit, and I know the folks back in the day had one split loom they liked because it was more flexible and slinky than others, but I don't have any recollection what it was.

(Sadly, I'm also no longer on FB so posting to the modders group isn't really possible now.)

I’m fresh out of ideas on why my wand electronics are locking up like this.
It seems to get bad every time i charge the batteries which has me extremely confused.

I’ve double, triple and quadruple checked all connections to ensure they’re all sound.

I have my Venkman suit that I wore once during Halloween in 2013. It's been in my closet ever since but sadly I'm not an XL anymore. 😄

It's an XL Rothco that was dyed and has the name badge and ghost patch. Just thought I’d ask here before putting it on eBay.

My wife always does up a Harry Potter trunk for out church's halloween event. I'm not much for Trunk or Treat, but it's really the only way to get trick or treaters in my area. No kids in my neighborhood, and even my full size goodness doesn't seem to bring them. Last year though, no one was dressed in the HP world and many kids had no idea about HP at all. So my wife wants to switch it up and do Ghostbusters this year.

I have a pack that I converted from Spirit, flight suit, boots, and I'm printing the goggles and a trap this year. (If 10 year old 10_96 could see me now!) Anybody have any ideas for decor/activities to do? I see the cheap crap on amazon looking like a portable containment unit, but as stated...it's cheap crap. I was thinking of printing some fake slime and hanging it from the car, some caution tape, webs, and some dry ice. Anything that might be fun to do?
