(No spoilers I have only played FF16 and was my first introduction to the franchise but before I have heard about FF and how the games are amazing but I always keep hearing about FF7 and I was wondering if it is good and do I have to play the previous FF to understand it and does the remake improve on the original or do I have to play the original to understand the remake)

Few weeks ago, I posted my asset explorer and digital museum here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FinalFantasyVII/comments/1wr2dou/website_to_explore_all_ff7_models_animations/

The past 2 weeks I improved the FF7 viewer, the World Map is now alive, like in the game: waterfalls, shorelines, weapons, vehicles and even Midgar Zolom has been reverse-engineered and added, as well story toggles, like craters! Even the minimap was added! See it for yourself! https://library.pardallgames.com/m/PS1-FinalFantasyVII-WorldMap?tab=3d&info=0&s=WM0_p01_Diamond_Weapon,WM0_p08_Ultimate_Weapon,WM0_p20_Chocobo,WM0_p23_North_Crater_Barrier,WM0_p25_Ruby_Weapon,WM0_p29_Highwind_Disc2,WM0_p34_Tiny_Bronco,WM0_p41_Cargo_Ship,temple,junon,mideel,cosmo&mode=lit&cull=double&grid=0&fly=2.64&cam=1146.939,140.188,355.185,1036.613,-11.728,419.419

The pre-rendered scenarios also contain the NPCs and their walk routes, like Tifa walking in the 7th Heaven: https://library.pardallgames.com/m/PS1-FinalFantasyVII-7thHeaven-MDS7PB1?tab=3d&info=0&story=progress+0&param3=0&mode=lit&cull=double&grid=0&fly=2.64

The museum lets you explore levels like in the game, models, animations, summons and pre-rendered backgrounds from Final Fantasy VII and 15 other more PS1, N64 and Saturn games (and I add a new one almost daily). Final Fantasy VIII (FF8) is coming out today, also with all models, summons that play in the browser (the ACTUAL animations, not videos) and the world map also alive, including train routes!

I really enjoy final fantasy obviously, but I don’t find many people my age who are really into it like the 35+ dudes. I’ve had so many amazing conversations with just random dudes who have seen me wearing a final fantasy shirt or something, they genuinely are so awesome to talk to.
Im 20 and I bet they wouldn’t wanna be friends or anything and I personally am not aiming for friends double my age, but they carry the community tbh. This is my appreciation for the dedication they have and how I admire them 🫡

Hi all! First time ever doing a cover and thought I’d share it. One of my favorite melodies, period. I tried to add my personal taste to the arrangement. Hope somebody likes it lol. Thank you!! 😌

Any tips for how to get the buster sword to stay on your back? Ideally I don’t want to damage or glue anything onto the sword or cloud outfit…

One wing, one absurdly long sword, and a theme song with a choir chanting in Latin. 1997 and they created a villain people are still arguing about nearly 30 years later. The Remake trilogy is giving him even more screen time too. Where does Sephiroth rank on your all-time villain list?

So I made this app like 6 years ago and updated it for intergrade. Welp I finally finished the rebirth integration. Check it out on the iOS App Store it’s free and there are no ads. Hope you like it!

Considering Zack met Yuffie when she was a kid in Crisis core honestly that would just be nice to see plus I have a hard time believing that Yuffie wouldn't be like , oh I recognize you

But that would imply that they would have to bring Zack to the present Clouds world

I don't know. I just feel like it's something that I would like to see not be overlooked if possible

So we know that the other Jenova appearances were all accompanied by some appearance of a body part but Jenova Synthesis doesnt? So is that the head that Sephiroth cut off at Nibelheim? It is the only boss fight that's visually different. Also since you fight Sephiroth immediately after, I just figured it would be the part he had on him.

Any diehard fans, like myself, happen to preorder an extra FF VII revelation collectors edition that they are willing to part with?
I have the previous 2 collector editions and really sad I wasn’t able to preorder Revelations.

Here is a painting I made a long time ago of the opening battle from FF7.

Can anyone here tell me why Sephiroth's 3D model changes in the pre-rendered cutscenes? His hair is flat polygon shaded with no detail, but then during the disc one ending cutscene his neck suddenly has like a fat lump where it connects to the torso, his irises have a black border, his nose and lips are more detailed, and his hair actually has strands instead of looking like his skin but grey. I just noticed it for the first time today (can't tell you why because Reddit blocked the term) after rewatching it enough times.

I’ve listened to most of the OST at this point and still can’t find it, it’s driving me crazy. Any help appreciated, ideally I’d be able to get it on streaming services

Using nothing but counter attacks magic counter and full cure and items.
