This is a thread you can use to discuss whether certain popular (or unpopular) games are Field-like enough to be considered Fieldy. This is the only place on this subreddit where you can debate this. Have fun!

Game Announcement I'm solo-developing a 1st-person RPG, Umbra Ark: a dungeon crawler inspired by the oppressive atmosphere of Shadow Tower and King's Field (PS1). Today, I've finally launched the Steam page!

I've been told by my play testers my game reminds them of King's Field, so I thought I'd share it with you here.

I'm making a sci-fi cave-crawling RPG-sim where genetic material is the primary currency, with multiple violent or nonviolent ways to get it, trade it and use it get more powerful.

New Inventory System Feedback

Hi everyone!

I'm the solo developer of Forgotten Blood, an old-school dungeon crawler inspired by classic RPGs.

This month after release, I decided to focus on completely reworking the inventory system. I wanted it to be easier to use, more organised and to work better with both keyboard/mouse and controller.

I've attached a screenshot of the new system and I'd really like to hear your feedback.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey! Hope y'all are doing well. I hope it's ok if I announce the beginning of the public playtest at https://gameround.co/detail/772/info . I've already got such great feedback. It's super easy to play using their launcher (similar to Steam). It's on Steam for those interested! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3719140/Exobiota/?beta=0

I just wanted to drop a link to my Kingsfield (among other 90s and early 2000s RPG/Dungeon Crawler) inspired game (with a sci-fi twist). I'm releasing an early playtest build but I think you all might enjoy what there is. It's free for anyone to download on Itch. Any comments or feedback is welcome on the Itch page comments!

Also, devs making this kind of game, I'd love to hear about how your projects are going. I am currently Solo and possibly would love to find a partner.
