Recently, the mod team has received an exceptional number of complaints about a variety of post types that have been negatively affecting the sub in the long run. As a result of this, the manual post approval system will be re-implemented as a means of keeping the quality standards of r/fancast to a fair minimum.
Depending on how this is system is received over time, it may or may or may not be here to stay. As a result of this change, however, posts will now be approved in batches every 6-12 hours or so, and although certain posts may take a little while longer to get to, we believe this is the best possible system to reduce spam, reward high effort posts, and eliminate banned posts types such as:
•”Who would you cast?” posts (“Who would you cast as the DCU’s Batman?”)
• Repetitive/Spam posts (“Alan Ritchson as Aquaman”, etc)
•Satirical castings/Shitposts (“Elon Musk as Cyborg”, etc)
• Sexually suggestive posts (You know what I mean)
• Any and all posts involving generative AI
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, please comment them and I’ll answer to the best possible extent that I can.

I know this might spark divisive opinions, but I would really love for Tyler Hoechlin to return as the new Batman of the DCU
Besides, we've already seen Jason Momoa in a new role for this universe, so why not?

I liked Tom Hardy’s Bane but I want a more imposing and comic accurate version. Olivier is 7,2, a body builder/actor you probably have seen him in Reacher or the new Streetfighter.

I think Aimee Lou Wood would be a fantastic choice to play Doreen Green, aka Squirrel Girl, in the MCU.
Her performance as Aimee Gibbs in Sex Education really convinced me that she could pull off this character. She has that naturally bubbly, quirky, and lovable personality that fits Squirrel Girl perfectly. Her expressive facial features, distinctive smile, and comedic timing also make her a great physical and personality match for the character.
What I like most about this casting is that Aimee could capture Doreen’s cheerful optimism, awkward humor, and genuine kindness without making her feel like a complete joke. Squirrel Girl might have one of Marvel’s strangest powers, but she’s also surprisingly capable, intelligent, and confident.
I could genuinely see Aimee bringing a fun, charming, and believable live-action version of Squirrel Girl to the MCU.
What do you guys think of this casting?
