Does this colour work or should I change it?

We’re finishing the exterior of our house, and I feel the current light yellow colour on the walls inside the balcony and ground-floor entrance doesn’t really match the overall exterior theme.
The house has a pinkish/mauve colour, dark charcoal grey cladding, a brick-red vertical section, grey stone cladding, and wooden ceiling panels. I want to keep the pinkish colour exactly as it is and only replace the light yellow with something that complements the rest of the house.
I’m considering shades like:
- Warm beige or greige
- Light grey
- Taupe
- Sage grey
- Blue-grey
I’m also open to suggestions for improving the grey colour on the side walls, if you think a different shade would look better.
I’ve attached the original photos along with some colour mockups. Which combination do you think would look best? I want the house to look modern, elegant, and well-coordinated without making it too dark or too colourful.
Please suggest specific colour shades or paint codes from Asian Paints, Berger, or Nerolac if possible.

Would love to replace the current vinyl door with a wooden one, and maybe a glass screen door in front of it? But I can't think of what else to do with it, it's a bit of a strange one.

I’m buying a house and will need to repaint it after having some work done on the exterior. I’ve never had a house painted before and am overwhelmed by the options and am having a hard time visualizing what different colors will look like. I want something with a little color (prefer to stay away from tan or beige) and don’t want anything too dark since the house will get a lot of sun. I would appreciate any advice or inspo to get me going in the right direction.

I need help picking the exterior paint color of mid- century rambler house.
I’d like to make the shutters stand out. I like high contrast and would like to stay away from the current grey-teal color.

Any ideas for a wrap-around deck? Looking for something larger with steps down to the yard on the left side. Also open to new paint colors.

Please enjoy the apple green color in my before photos, but we’re looking to update the exterior of our first home! Thinking of an all cream window casing and a pop of color on the door. Two toned brick colors are detailed. Looking for something that is complimentary to the brick color in terms of tone, but not necessarily a neutral. Trellis is removed. Landscaping needs to be tackled next spring—if you have suggestions for me there I won’t stop you ;) thank you in advance for your feedback!

Previous owner paved a large part of our small backyard. I’d love to use this area for something but can’t figure out what besides putting a storage shed in the back corner. ChatGPT gave me abysmal answers.
-Hot, sunny climate in summer and colder winters Backyard faces west with no shade coming from that direction. It gets brutal without shade in the afternoon
-We already have three seating areas in the back yard (on top of and below deck that is behind these pictures and fire pit area)
- I don’t want to put a grill under the existing overhang due to smoke/heat concerns. My main grill is on top of deck and I’m happy with its location
- I know the sliding shutter things and drapes are crap and plan to remove them soon
- At my wife’s request, we tried raised garden beds along the fence. I had no interest in them, she neglected them and it was just a major failure.
- We have two dogs and a small child. Smaller budget for upgrades

I’m trying to pick exterior paint colors and I have zero sense of color. AI gives suggestions but I’m never quite sure those translate well in real life, especially if paint on stucco can appear two shades darker.
This home is in Northern California and I’m looking for neutral, warm colors. The current color seems too yellow/gold to me. I think the flagstone leans taupe but I’m not sure. AI suggested Accessible Beige for body, Shoji White trim and Urbane Bronze for garage and front door.
For those who know color well, what are your thoughts on this color combination or are there other colors I should consider? I’m also thinking of paying for the Sherwin-Williams live color consult.

I had decided on this design, with the help of AI. Went through all the stuff, specified in contract that the board and batten in Arctic White would go on the two front gables. The two back and side gables are all Boothbay Blue lap, like the rest of the walls.
The issue is that they did the front gables today and they are blue! I don't HATE it but, it wasn't what I envisioned. The 3 siding guys all think that white would be too much. Too much when every other wall is blue? I am torn about keeping it blue or telling them to paint it white.
The house was built in 1942. The black awnings will be going back up. Other black features are the garage and front door, black lantern porch light, black metal address plaque. All the black features were already there, haven't been changed for the new siding.

We cannot decide on a window colour!
When we bought the house the windows were quite a bright yellow (not original)
The white/cream we have been trialling but feel like it looks like an undercoat and doesn’t suit the moodiness of the exterior .
Anything that pulls too cool tone/gray also looks terrible.
On the right we have trialled Dulux Jasper (obviously just a rough sample paint). It looks a bit cool tone in this photo but not in real life.
I also have Jasper 1/2 strength to trial.
We prefer the look of it blending into the house and not being so stark.
The windows need to be fully restored in a few years when finances allow, so we are just trying to find something that doesn’t draw attention to the imperfections.
The bricks are reddy/plum with matching mortar. The front garden is also planted with burgundy, red, purple/plum coloured plants with Corten steel edging.

Ik the house looks like a mess but please help me save it🙏 I've included images from multiple angles. Neutral colours would be nice I don't want it to be too colorful

Currently under contract on this 1940s colonial in New England and have been playing around with some ideas to give the exterior more character.
I like craftsman and arts & crafts style homes which is some of the inspiration. I’m considering a covered portico with decorative woodwork, new window trim, lighting, wood front door, cornice/wave detailing, shutters, cedar fence and possibly some landscaping upgrades (the goal would be to do this in phases).
I’m curious what everyone thinks of my overall design. First is the current exterior and second is an ai generated rendering. I’m open to feedback that would give the house more character.
Last thing, I’m not entirely sure how to go about getting something like this done. I obviously need to hire professionals but would I need an architect or could a contractor handle it? Also is it appropriate to share an AI rendering with a professional as a starting point or is that frowned upon? If anyone has ever done something similar, especially in New England, I’d love to hear you experience and any info you’re willing to share.
Appreciate any thought or suggestions!

Hi there! I have moved into a new house and we need to replace the original siding. It’s an expensive investment and I’m nervous of making choices that I have to live with for 40 years.
Our house is a 1980s build and currently very high contrast. Our broader neighbourhood is a more muted tones, lower contrast vibe. I love the more muted look as it can look very classy and cozy. It’s a big switch, though, and online siding tools are only so helpful.
What would you recommend?

Wife and I just bought our first house and are very excited! We really like this inside. It definitely needs some work but overall it’s cute. It reminds me a lot of the house I grew up in. But man, the outside, woof. I don’t think either of us ever saw ourselves in a mid century semi boring rambler but it was in our price range and the solar panels are completely paid off so it was kind of a no brainer.
It’s not offensively ugly or anything, just very boring and not a house either of us would consider “cute”. We had an offer accepted on a Victorian 2 story with a screened in porch that we were absolutely in love with that ended up falling through.
So yeah tl;dr I’m looking for some suggestions on what to add to the outside to make it “cuter” and less boring. Color suggestions are welcome. We’d like to put shutters on it as well. It had them at one point but were removed.

We've been at an impasse for days and need to make a decision asap. We narrowed down our tile selection to two very different tiles for our entryway stair risers and they both give a different vibe . The house is going to be painted a cream white with brown accents with a big iron door (see the renderings but the tiles look a bit different in person than they do in the rendering). The other photos are taken in the backyard with white wall in the background and I added the white/cream tile we're going to be using on the stairs so you can see the combination better.
First tile: Feels more elegant and maybe more timeless, better quality and also very glossy which adds an interesting element when the sun shines on it.
Second tile: Feels more "fun", warmer and more welcoming? More colorful too
Thank you!

This is an old photo, the paint is fading now and its time for a refresh, mostly the white parts. I’d like to keep the pink, should I try out a different color for the trim? What color? How do I make this look nicer? Southern california if it makes a difference.

We painted our 1920 craftsman Narragansett green by BM. We’re definitely having second thoughts. It looks good in the back, but is just reading over saturated and dark overall, especially in the daylight. Thoughts? Can it be saved? We haven’t painted the trim yet.
The other colors we were hesitating were Tate Olive, Dark olive and Knoxville Gray.

We need help deciding on trim colors for our house. We want it to be classic and timeless with some modern elements. For trim, I’d like to stick to Hardie statement colors, the garage door can be English Oak wood grain or any standard color.
For Hardie trim I’m leaning towards Timber Bark, but also considering Rich Espresso and Aged Pewter. Goal is to have the right amount of contrast.
For garage door, it’s a toss up between English Oak (will cost like $1200 more) or Espresso to introduce some contrast.
I also not sure what color to do the metal roof.

I have to pick out new siding for my old farmhouse asap. What color would you do to give this house CHARM? Open to painting the trim a color as well and adding shutters. I love the these shutters in a baby blue, but not set on it. Open to ideas!
Really against the white house, black window look. And anything modern! I have an antique wood front door that will be installed!
