Discussion Does a traditional broker adding ETH staking actually matter for Ethereum adoption?
Interactive Brokers just expanded its crypto services to include Ethereum staking.
Do you guys see moves like this as meaningful evidence that ETH is becoming more mainstream, or is it mostly just another product feature for people who already own crypto?
What would convince you that institutional access is actually translating into stronger Ethereum adoption — more staking, more users, more transaction activity, more stablecoin/RWA growth, or something else?

Analysis Official bullish divergence
We have an official bullish divergence on the 6hr chart.
Yes—screenshot shows a developing bullish RSI divergence on ETH’s 6-hour chart.
Comparing the sharp low around October 8 with the latest selloff:
Price is making a lower low.
RSI is above its earlier low—visually, roughly 30 versus around 20 previously. Those are estimates from the image.
That’s the classic bullish divergence setup: price falls further while downward momentum is weaker. It can precede a bounce or reversal, but doesn’t establish a bottom by itself.
The catch is that the latest candle still has about three hours left, and RSI is still falling. The second trough needs to finish forming.
From this chart, I’d watch for:
RSI turning upward while holding above its October 8 low.
ETH reclaiming roughly $2,450–$2,500, the recent consolidation area, to strengthen the recovery case.
If RSI falls below its earlier trough as price makes new lows, this particular divergence disappears.
Your read is reasonable: a bullish setup is developing within a downtrend, with price confirmation still needed.

News Ethereum’s dominance continues!
In its 2026 developer rankings Ethereum is number one with 12,242 active developers. Solana is right behind with 10,946, and Polkadot is sitting in third with 9,113.
So the gap between ETH and SOL is about 1,300 devs. It's close enough that we fully expect this thread to turn into the usual ETH vs SOL cage match within 20 minutes. Please be gentle, it's a developer post)
Devs tell you what's getting built for next year. And right now there's a lot getting built: Ethereum is gearing up for Glamsterdam and half the builders are now "pair programming" with an AI agent that writes code faster than they can review it.
Also, ideas don't really stay on one chain anymore. Something ships on Solana, Ethereum devs borrow it three months later and the other way around, someone on Polkadot says they had it first. Everyone wins (except maybe the person who had it first).
So, respect to everyone out there building, testing, and fixing bugs at 2am across all of these networks.

News Ethereum's roadmap could have taken until 2050 without AI.
Now, development is moving much faster.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently shared an interesting perspective on how artificial intelligence is changing the pace of blockchain development. According to him, without AI, completing Ethereum's ambitious roadmap could have taken until 2040 or even 2050.
AI is increasingly helping Ethereum developers handle demanding research tasks, explore technical solutions, and write code. Instead of replacing the engineers behind the network, it's becoming a powerful tool that helps them work faster and tackle more complex problems.
And let's be honest, Ethereum's development teams have already delivered some impressive upgrades over the years. AI isn't making that progress possible from scratch. It's helping an already experienced ecosystem accelerate its work.
Ethereum's roadmap involves much more than incremental upgrades. It's about building infrastructure that can support a global financial system, with improvements to scalability, security, user experience, and the underlying protocol.
If AI can meaningfully shorten the time needed to research, develop, test, and implement these improvements, the implications could be enormous.
Of course, faster development doesn't mean every upgrade will arrive immediately. Blockchain infrastructure still requires careful testing, security reviews, and coordination across the ecosystem. But AI could help Ethereum make progress on its long-term goals much sooner than previously expected.
The future of Ethereum might arrive years earlier than we thought.

Question Would you rather spend ETH or stablecoins?
I've been thinking about this. ETH is great to hold but would you actually use it to pay for everyday stuff?
Personally, I feel like stablecoins make more sense for daily purchases since you don't have to worry about price changes but then again, what's the point of crypto becoming mainstream if we're all just holding it?
Curious what you guys think. Would you spend your ETH or stick to stablecoins?

Analysis ETH got rejected at the top of the 2350-2570 range. Data says no fresh money behind the bounce
ETH is sitting in a key zone for me, between 2350 and 2570. A clean break on either side should kick off a proper move.
What I'm seeing right now: price poked above 2570 on the 4h and got rejected straight back down. The derivatives data kind of explains why. Price is up 1.4% on the day but OI actually dropped 1%, and shorts got liquidated about 3x more than longs ($42M vs $12.7M). So this bounce looks like shorts closing, not new buyers coming in. Meanwhile around 70% of accounts are long (L/S 2.37) and funding is slightly positive.
My read: without OI starting to rise, I don't see the strength to break 2570. A pullback toward the middle of the range looks more likely first.
Levels I'm watching:
- Lose 2350 and I'd expect the next support around 2000-2100
- Hold it and break above 2570 with rising OI, and I'm looking for a retest of 2800
What levels are you guys watching?

Discussion What ETH metric do you think people trust way too much?
I keep seeing people use ETF flows, ETH/BTC, staking numbers, TVL, stablecoin activity, RWA growth, and price action to argue whether Ethereum is actually strong or weak.
If you had to pick one of those that you think is overrated or regularly misinterpreted, which one would it be and why?
And what would you look at instead before actually trusting someone’s argument about ETH?

Analysis FOCIL is scheduled for Hegota. Including transactions on Ethereum becomes a protocol rule.
FOCIL is the kind of groundbreaking censorship resistance innovation you'd expect to see in a new chain with nothing to lose and everything to prove, not the world's most established smart contract platform. Ethereum's developers have scheduled it for the Hegotá upgrade (EIP-8081), which doesn't have a confirmed date yet.
Today, whether a valid transaction gets into a block depends on whoever builds that block, and most validators sell the right to build their blocks to specialized builders. This has resulted in a few builders dominating block production and the authors of EIP-7805 argue that this has weakened Ethereum's censorship resistance.
Ethereum came through the 2022 US sanctions on Tornado Cash without becoming a censored chain because enough block producers kept including those transactions, but nothing in the protocol required them to do so.
The upgrade makes that a protocol rule by having 16 validators publish, for every block, a list of the transactions they have seen waiting to get in. The block then has to contain the valid transactions from those lists whenever it has room for them, and validators won't vote for a block that leaves them out, so that block can't become part of the chain.
A single list is enough to force a transaction in, so censoring it would require every one of the 16 validators chosen for each block to leave it off their lists, block after block, on top of the builder. Builders still choose everything else in the block and where the listed transactions go, so Ethereum keeps the efficiency of specialized block building without letting builders decide who gets in.
The rule protects L2 users too, since an L2 that lets users force a transaction through Ethereum when its operator ignores them only works if Ethereum itself includes that transaction.
I think this is the right way to protect censorship resistance, because a rule that every validator enforces doesn't depend on the policy of any one company, or on how that company responds to legal or commercial pressure.
Ethereum is the foundation of most of the crypto economy, so I expect this change to go a long way in locking in censorship resistance as a core property of the future institutions that use Ethereum as their consensus computer, though it won't make Ethereum censorship-proof or guarantee that those institutions stay neutral.

Question 10 ETH now, what do you think ?
So I finally got some money to invest.
I’m sitting on this for a week, I’m looking for 1-2 year investment minimum, and I don’t plan on taking the main investment out, only +% .
So I’m looking at 10 ETHs mainly. Wasted a moment at 1.8k, still recon 2.5 is a fairly decent price Also looking at BTC of course, XRM but I heard they trying to “destroy” it with all that AML stuff. And QNT, but I think it’ll drop definitely after +266%. My bank is around 25 to invest
I’m not a trader, so I’m just looking for opinions and maybe some advice. Thanks!

Trading I backtested three ETH bots. One gained 42% while HODL lost 10%.
A simple ETH trend bot turned $10,000 into $14,242.64 in my 2022 through 2024 backtest. Buying and holding ETH ended at $8,955.62 over the same dates.
The bot's maximum drawdown was 33.14%. Holding ETH hit 76.28%.
That +42.43% return included $2,031.90 in trading fees.
I tested three moving-average windows: 50, 100 and 200 days. The faster versions lost 27.56% and 23.98%. The 200-day version won the selection period.
Its rule is simple: buy with 95% of available buying power when ETH is above the average and the position is empty. Sell all held ETH when price falls to or below the average.
Then I kept that rule unchanged for two later windows:
| Window | 200-day bot | Hold ETH |
|---|---|---|
| 2022 through 2024, used for selection | +42.43% | -10.44% |
| January 2025 through June 2026 | -22.52% | -52.91% |
| July 5 through September 30, 2026 | +24.97% | +50.47% |
During January 2025 through June 2026, the bot lost considerably less than holding. Its maximum drawdown was also smaller: 40.83% versus 68.27%.
During the rebound, holding won. The bot waited until August 19 to buy. It gained 24.97%, while holding from July 5 gained 50.47%.
Each window starts a separate $10,000 account. Both paths use fractional spot ETH and pay 0.7% per fill, including the holding account's purchase. Ending positions are marked without a forced sale. Staking yield and cash interest are excluded.
The average uses observations within a rolling calendar-time window, rather than exactly 200 daily closes. The engine's Day observations include weekends and session-timed snapshots.
All three periods had already been inspected before these corrected historical reruns. A genuinely unseen test is the next step.

Discussion Which matters more for ETH right now: ETF flows or staking demand?
ETH ETFs have been seeing repeated outflows, but at the same time there’s still a big queue of ETH waiting to enter staking.
If those signals are pointing in different directions, which one do you guys actually trust more when judging Ethereum’s strength? ETF flows, staking demand, on-chain activity, price action, or something else?
I am just curious which signal you think is actually more meaningful and why.

Discussion How do you tell when an ETH drop is actually about Ethereum?
ETH has been getting hit while the broader market is dealing with higher yields, a stronger dollar, and a lot of risk-off pressure. When ETH drops like this, how do you guys decide whether it’s actually showing weakness in Ethereum or whether it’s mostly just following the macro environment?
What do you personally look at first — ETH/BTC, ETF flows, on-chain activity, liquidations, macro data, or something else?
