My brother in Christ the board was born incinerated already. And the schematic is a crime against humanity.

All those random track width changes on the bottom layer sure are an...... interesting...... choice

That has been noted friend! I shall consult the clanker and see if we can do better.

Send it ay! I reckon I’ll do a revision and post it here me more time for a second round of roasting.

Good, our jobs are safe for a little while longer.

As a developer I wish I could say the same 😢 I love and hate AI. I love to experiment with how far the tech has come but also feel a little anxious about what the future holds.

The schematic is unreadable, I'm sure even you can't understand how and why the parts are connected and what they do.

The layout is terrible, parts are not grouped together in block function and that explains the via spaghetti on bottom layer.

Horrible board, if it doesn't work, you have no chance of troubleshooting that

This has all been noted! I am going to see if we can do better and post a round 2

Did you use SKIDL for the net list and then use the least readable method possible to back annotate to schematic?

It may be fine, but no human is going to reasonably review this. Even if you paid them, the schematic is on par with opening up a net list in Notepad and trying to determine circuit function; technically do-able but you're certain to miss things.

The layout looks inefficient, but not outright bad, but without knowing what any of the nets do, who really knows.

Thanks for that balanced feedback mate. I won’t deny that I barely know what I’m doing, this is a little DIY experiment. I posted a description with my post but it seems to have been removed. I’m trying to build a custom OBD logger for a 1998 Land Cruiser. I want it to be flexible and future proof in terms of my plans.

I’ve taken all the feedback from this post, cracked the whip on Claude a few times and it looks a lot neater now. I’ll make another post with the new version to have it further scrutinised!

Nope I’m a real person, got no idea what I’m doing though 😂
