New to drag racing help
This season I got this 1999 r6 with and started learning to drag race, it is almost completely stock besides the extention and slip on. What mods could work to get faster times that I can work on over the winter. Also I have a test and tune day coming up in 2 weeks is there anything small I could do before then, thank you.

When did you decide you needed beadlocks?
At what point does it make sense to move to beadlock wheels? I'm still figuring out my setup and keep seeing people say they're essential while others seem perfectly happy running without them.
I'm not trying to buy something just because it looks more serious either. I've been checking out options from keizer wheels and trying to figure out whether a beadlock setup would actually make sense for my car/use case. What made you guys make the switch?

New Quickest/Fastest Street Legal Car! The Sorceress Olds 5.65 at 266.90mph!
Tom Bailey's 5.77 ET record (2020) and Andy Frost's MPH record of 263.75 (2019) finally went down and Rod Tschiggfrie's Sorceress Olds now holds both ends of the Street Legal record at 5.65 at 266.90 mph!! Car is street legal and street driven, runs were made at a porky 3085lb with cooling system and stereo with subs still intact. ;) Congrats Rod and crew! Engine is a 640cid Big Block Chevy-based engine with custom heads/valvetrain and twin Harts 110mm turbos and made over 4700rwhp at 76psi of boost.

Looking for photos or memories of my Papa Steve Johnson who raced in the mid 1970s and won 2 Wally’s
Hey everyone! I’m trying to find some old photos or information about my grandfather, Steve Johnson, who raced Pro Stock drag racing in the mid-1970s. He was based out of Oregon and practiced at Woodburn Dragstrip, but raced all around the West Coast. He drove a red Chevy Nova with “Steve’s Automotive” advertised on it.
I’d love to find some old pictures of him and his car or hear from anyone who remembers him from back in those days. Any information, memories, or leads would mean a lot to me and my family. Thanks!

Ford Fest 2026 Part 2 | Pit Tour, Racing & Drifting Demo! 🏁🔥
I filmed this at Ford Fest at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Part 2 takes a look around the pits, then gets into the drag racing and drifting demo.
One of my favorite things about these events is getting a closer look at the builds before watching them in action.
Anyone here bring their car to Ford Fest this year? What were you driving?

TX2K 2027
Hi! I’m from Switzerland and would love to come to TX2K next year. It’s a big dream of mine! However, I think it might be difficult to find all the things happening around the event on my own, so I’m looking for someone local who could show me around and introduce me to a few things. I’d especially love to check out the car meets at night as well! :)
I’d really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks in advance!

Is there a database of quarter mile timeslips for stock production cars?
I'm building a drag racing game where the physics are based on real car data (torque curves, gearing, tire grip, weight transfer), and I validate the model against real quarter mile runs. Magazine tests are a good start, but they're often one run under unknown conditions.
So I'm looking for a place with actual timeslips from stock or near-stock street cars: ET, trap speed, ideally 60 ft time, and conditions like density altitude or tire type. Older cars from the 80s and 90s would be especially useful.
Does anything like that exist, or does everyone just keep their slips in a drawer?

Why Ford Fest 2026 was the Best Car Show of the Year! 🔥
Why Ford Fest 2026 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Was My Favorite Car Show of the Year! 🔥
Ford Fest at Beech Bend Raceway brought together so much of what I love about car events—Mustangs, classic Fords, trucks, drag racing, autocross, and drifting! 🏁
I filmed the show and track action for my YouTube channel, Barry the Bald Eagle. Getting to check out the builds and then watch cars compete made this one stand out for me.

Bracket Racers
I've raced since 2007. Competed for track championships for years. I raced nobox/footbrake. So I've noticed that some really good no box racers have started running sportsman over the years. I thought this class was supposed to be for newer racers before they jumped up in classes. My local track has guys who have won big races (including world finals). I don't think that should be. Racing is slowly dying and having a class for new racers to compete would help grow and racers learn and grow the sport.
