A little retexture work I did for ChaosGallantmon for DW3. It took me about three or four days. A loooot of agony. Before retexture pictures at the end of the gallery. 🐸
Photoshop + Blender.
Pixel art stuff.

I've been working on Giromon most of the day for a project I'm doing in collaboration with Claude opus 5.5, blender and Godot 4.7 for DW. I've seen a few others floating around and I think it's pretty neat seeing all the changes folks are making. Just wanted to share my own progress.

Not perfect but In a much better place now. Improved my process for modeling where I don't have to guess as much, because what looks good in one program doesn't look good in blender or unity. So definantly will be doing this to improve my models going forward.
Anyway I appreciate all the feedback from my previous post! This face has good topology so I can do some good facial expressions! I

Thinking of restarting my DW1 game. Opened it and found this guy that demolished the Beetle Cup on my last playthrough <3

A demonstration video about my deck.
Utilizing R to U and U to U digivolution. Main goal is simple, just get to U as fast as we can :D (Even my all partners are green, and I maximalize their DP point too)

which one
Edit:
Based on feedback I’ll be polishing the top one to match the structure of the bottom a bit more!

This was like a childhood staple of mine. Learned about the vice stuff and jumped back in. Up to 81 at the city and still going strong 🙌🏻

A lot of hard work has gone into these games over the years, and seeing the flood of ai slop "creators" claiming they're actually doing anything is sad. Make a rule that they need to flair their posts and put a user flair on all of them denoting them as ai users.

I mean, the obvious answer is ‘yes’, provided you have almost unlimited time to play it, but I was just wondering if anyone ever managed to beat it going in blind?
I think progression in the game is fairly straightforward (just go out and explore every inch), but I don’t see how it’s possible to beat the tougher fights without an Ultimate Digimon, which are notoriously hard to get unless you rigorously follow a guide. I can imagine someone bruteforcing their way through the game with a Champion by stocking healing items, but is that even viable?
Thanks!

So I've been seeing a bunch of new Digimon World 3 Mods, and they all look pretty good.
But I was wondering: Are they all just vibe coded/AI Generated?
I know there are people who put a lot of work into their Mods, and although the argument can be made that vibe coded stuff is the new norm, I still wanted to know what's going on.
Also, on a different note, I've seen at least one of them keep their current version behind a paywall (Patreon).
Is that... Legal? I know they've said that they intend to distribute the final game for free, but this still feels a bit dubious. Is it okay to do something like that for a fan game?
Lastly, how do YOU all feel about the current landscape of things (as far as these MODs go)?

These three are in the game as models and you can unlock their megas... If only they made them unlockable partners!

I know there are only three different care mistakes you can make (Not feeding, pooping and Sleep deprivation), but there is one thing I'm not sure about in regards to feeding as a care mistake.
If you feed your digimon but you don't feed it enough, does this still count as a care mistake? It would make managing weight quite a bit easier in the early game, especially when you don't have access to vegies/fish yet.

Hey there. The field editor I showed a while back is out now, free and open source:
https://github.com/Feerdus95/dw3-field-editor (download: Releases)
Last time it still needed my PC port's files to work. Now it stands on its own: point it at your own disc image of the European version (Digimon World 2003, SLES-03936) and it reads every field from there. Nothing from the game is included.
What it does:
Changes save as small mod files, so the original data is never touched.
One catch: to play your changes you need the game's native PC port, which isn't released yet. Until then you can explore every map, edit and save, but not test it in game. When the port is out, one key jumps straight into the game at the map you're editing.
Windows 10/11, 64-bit. MIT licensed. Feedback and bug reports are welcome on GitHub.

I am having a helluva time trying to learn the Mech techniques in DW1. I am currently stuck trying to learn Full Potential from Mamemon on Mt Panorama - I've spent several hours this weekend going back and forth to the Plains screen to make him spawn, to then NOT learn the move after each fight.
Is there some knack or weirdness to how the RNG works? I ask because I actually learned the infamously difficult-to-obtain DG Dimension from Giromon...first time, twice in a row. I was trying to get Delete Prog, but ended up with DG. Reloaded the game, fought Giro again, boom DG. It has me wondering if certain outcomes are kinda locked in at a certain point, rather than immediately at the conclusion of the battle. FWIW, I'm using Metal Greymon, whose first type is Mech, and guides tell me I have a 25% chance to learn it, but I've fought Mamemon probably dozens of times now with no luck. Any insights?

Hey there. Another brief showcase.
Still have to make this work independently before sharing.
This tool is a bit broader than the model viewer. Should help to modify a bunch of things, including:
- Walkable areas: paint where the player can and can't walk.
- Exits and triggers: where they are, where they lead and where you arrive, plus climbs, warps and event spots.
- Random battles: paint the battle areas, and change each area's rate and its encounters.
- NPCs: move, add or remove them, and edit when each one shows up during the story and which lines it says.
- Objects: placement, animation and depth.
- The start point: where the player spawns on each map.
Everything is read from your own copy of the game, names and dialogue included. Changes save as small mod files, so the original data is never touched, and one key jumps straight into the game to test the map you're editing.
Also coming up: bigger maps, custom backgrounds and brand new areas.

He's in my top 3 favorite digimon and I always hated the fact that such a cool digimon can't be played. Such a waste!
Kotemon > Dinohumon > Knightmon is a perfect example of an evolution line.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone that is putting effort into modding this game. Being able to do this was such a dream to so many of us - since we were children - and now you're making it happen.

Hey everyone!
We just launched our Kickstarter for Alchemic Beasts, a monster taming RPG built around alchemy, social chemistry, and the bonds you form with your beasts.
One of the biggest things we wanted to capture was that feeling we grew up loving in monster taming shows: the beasts aren't just things you own, they're partners. We wanted their relationships with their tamers to feel meaningful, and for the journey of building those bonds to be just as important as the battles themselves.
And this has genuinely been a family project. There are 8 of us working on the game, with everyone pitching in. My kids have been creating art, testing the game, and helping us share it with people. My wife and I have been putting the pieces together, refining the game, and trying to turn this crazy idea into something we can be proud of.
As we approach the final stretch of our Kickstarter, we hope this campaign has given everyone a clearer picture of what Alchemic Beasts can become. With your support, we can keep building the monster-collecting adventure we’ve always dreamed of playing and bring that vision one step closer to reality.

Hey there. Just wanted to share some quick thingy I put up. Hopefully will be of use to anybody wanting to tinker with DW2003's assets.
