Danish casino review site: does the design grab you? We need YOUR input

• Upvotes

Hi all,

I’d love some honest feedback on our site: https://casinotester.dk/?va-off=1

The content is in Danish, of course, so I’m not asking about the text. What I’m after is your take on the design and structure:

  • Does the site grab you when you first land on it?
  • What would you change or wish was different?

The logo is being worked on by a designer right now, so you can ignore that part.

Thanks a lot, any feedback is appreciated!

A or B? Really confused about which logo to go with 😭

Hey everyone! I'm working on a logo for an upcoming home decor brand in India, aimed at Gen Z, with cool and unique products.

I'm confused between these two versions and can't decide which one looks better. Would love to hear your honest opinions!

Which one would you choose, and is there anything you'd change or improve? If you have a completely different idea in mind, I'm open to suggestions too.

Thanks for helping me out! 🙌

Does this portfolio actually work, or does it just look good?

My girlfriend recently launched her new portfolio, and I'd love to get some honest feedback from a design perspective.

She went for a minimal, monochromatic style with bold typography and subtle animations. The whole thing was designed and built in Framer.

I really like how it looks, but I'm curious how well it actually works as a portfolio.

A few things I'd love your thoughts on:

  • Visual hierarchy: Is it clear where to look and what matters most?
  • UX: Is the navigation intuitive? Does anything feel confusing?
  • Project presentation: Does the website communicate her skills and experience well enough?

And most importantly, if you were hiring a digital designer, would this portfolio make you want to learn more about her work?

Feel free to be brutally honest. Constructive criticism is exactly what we're looking for.

[Portfolio Review] Creative Technologist & Interaction Designer – Looking for design & UX critique on experimental interactive portfolio

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for detailed design, layout, and UX feedback on my newly launched interactive portfolio site. Rather than a static grid, the entire experience is built as a continuous, 9,000px panoramic illustration of an Indian bazaar with embedded skeuomorphic micro-apps as case studies.

Portfolio: Link

(Best viewed on desktop/laptop due to horizontal scrolling and browser audio synthesis)

Project Breakdown:

  • Focus: Creative Technology, Interaction Design & UI/UX
  • Stack/Tools: Figma, HTML5 Canvas, Web Audio API (zero external audio files), CSS 3D transforms, Vanilla JavaScript
  • Concept: A scroll-driven street where each storefront launches a functional interactive artifact (a 3D mechanical CD rack, an interactive PCO payphone, physics-driven canvas tea-pourer, custom editorial magazine, etc.)

Specific areas I need feedback on:

  1. Interaction Friction vs. Novelty: Does the gamified street navigation pull focus away from reviewing the work, or does it showcase technical capability effectively
  2. Visual Hierarchy & HUD: How are the typography choices, contrast, and status indicators holding up across different screen sizes
  3. Case Study Clarity: Within the modal components, is the design rationale and problem-solving easy to digest, or does it feel overshadowed by the interactive toy
  4. First Impressions: From an agency/studio hiring perspective, what is your immediate critique on usability

Any critical feedback or honest pushback on the UX flow is appreciated. Thanks!

Please give feedback on my web scraper’s landing page and playground usefulness

Hi everyone,

I built the website for Markdownee, an open-source tool that extracts web content as Markdown, (or HTML or text). I would appreciate a feedback/critique of the GUI, specially from someone seeing it for the first time.

Website: https://www.markdownee.com/

The homepage puts the interactive playground before the longer product explanation. There are also separate Crawl, Fetch, Export and Purge sections/tabs, plus options for previewing results or generating commands and library code.

Id like to ask:

  1. Does the first screen make it clear what the tool does?
  2. Are the labels Crawl, Fetch and Export understandable to a new user?
  3. Is the amount of information comfortable to scan on desktop and mobile, or is it overcrowded, are there any mobile problems?
  4. any other GUI problems/chances to improve in general, what you would simplify or rearrange. etc...

Thanks

Spent 4 months reworking the copy, design, metadata, and structure. Finally something good enough.

I have been planning on started a business helping people automating their online visibility.
My first plan was to build the site and learn about marketing and perfecting it. I launched the website before I made the business fully public so I could iterate over the design and ideas.

Here is a bunch of things I learnt

  • CSS animations can do way too much now
  • A business website does not need GSAP/Motion.dev
  • A business website needs a lot structure (schema.org), needs to load fast and quick, must be server side rendered, and be easily crawlable, accessible to humans and agents alike.
  • Programmatic SEO is easy and important to fix. Once you have done that only then go into blogs, backlinking etc.
  • Backlinks are hard to get. Your website must be prepared well and finalised before you do this as well.
  • Online visibility is easier with AI when someone is specifically looking for you. The ranking among competition is hard.
  • Establishing trust is hard, genuine reviews are amazing and can do wonders for your search.
  • GSC offers a lot of hints. But the hints are objective things you need to do. SEO expert is not about the objective things but about the subjective ones.
  • Blogs are easier to write than ever and can generate traffic. You need a funnel to get that traffic to sales. Only impressions are useless.
  • Use free tools. Google Ligthouse, Vercel Is-agentic, Microsoft Clarity, GA4, are all free to use. They can provide real insight into users and how they are interacting with your site (Clarity more so).
  • Coding and deploying your site is the best way to get ahead. Website builders are essentially useless when you only want a marketing website. For an e-commerce store, I would recommend a store builder. Headless/Liquid shopify is something I would recommend.
  • Websites discoverability is not like social media. It is a long game, and there is so much that can go wrong. You have to play within the rules, because breaking them will catch up and you won't even know when or how.
  • AI is amazing. Even the 20$ sub does a lot.

I have spent about 4 months designing, developing, deploying, and redesigning the website from scratch. 157 commits made by me and codex into building the version it is today. I would not say it is perfect but it is much better than the first iteration.

Here is a more detailed blog - https://brownsmithdynamics.com/blogs/website-engineering-codex-usage-audit

If anyone has any questions about building their site, I would happy to share insights from my experience.

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been working on putting together my personal portfolio (karnailsingh.vercel.app) to showcase some of the MERN stack, Python, and AI projects I've built recently.

I wanted to keep it clean and smooth, so feel free to check it out when you have a second! I'd love to hear any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions you might have on the design or performance.

Thanks!

Please critique the design of my first App Store release

I recently launched CourtWord, a social movie and TV app.

The visual direction is intentionally dark, warm and cinematic, but after working on it for so long I’m definitely too close to judge it properly.

I’d love honest criticism of the typography, spacing, hierarchy, navigation and overall identity.

CourtWord - App Store Feel free to be picky.

Looking for honest UI/UX and design feedback on our website before launch

Hey everyone!

A friend and I have been working on MonkeyDevs, a project that started as a fun two-person development project and has gradually turned into a small startup.

We're getting ready to launch publicly, but before we do, we'd really appreciate some honest design criticism from people who know more about UI/UX and web design.

The website is built around browser games that we've developed ourselves. We've put a lot of work into getting everything running, but we're not sure if the design and overall user experience are where they need to be yet.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

  • The overall visual design, colours, typography, and consistency
  • The layout and spacing of different elements
  • Navigation and how easy it is to find and play games
  • The user experience, especially anything that feels confusing or unintuitive
  • How the website looks on different screen sizes, particularly mobile
  • Anything that looks amateurish, outdated, cluttered, or out of place

Feel free to be as critical as you want. We're not looking for compliments just for the sake of it — we'd genuinely like to know what looks bad, what doesn't work, and what we should prioritize fixing before launch.

Website: https://monkeydevs.com

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to look through it. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!
