• Entertainment / Cute / Funny • Guilty
Crime: First-degree candy theft and betrayal of household trust.
Sentence: 5 minutes of shame, mandatory cuddles, and a lifetime ban on unsupervised candy access.
Aggravating factor: She's eight years old and should know better by now.
Mitigating factor: She's adorable, looks genuinely sorry, and we love her too much to stay mad.
Verdict: Guilty, but unfortunately too cute to prosecute. Case dismissed. 🐾🍬
Guilty and apologetic after stealing candy while leaving her alone to rest while we went to the grocery store after hunting. Can’t stay mad at her for long though, although you’d expect her to have matured from stealing, since she’s 8 human years old. But I guess they just like us, never grow out of their sweet tooth.

I'm pet sitting for a friend and her dog (Her name is Salchi, short for sausage in Spanish) has little gray hair on the top of her head, I've never seen a dog with hair like this before but it's hard not to crack every time I see it 😂 it's funny and adorable

Context because I had to edit but my Yorkie and his little sister. He’s pretty handy with his paws so he will hold on with both paws. He has a good grip. This morning he grabbed her arm as we were headed out the door. Every morning he’s right by her side, I take him to school as much as I can. Today I couldn’t because we were late and I feel bad.
On cold mornings he will ‘warm’ up her jacket and give plenty of kisses. He’s an old man now but she is his baby. I love their bond, as some of you may know I started a scrapbook for memories like this. I cherish memories, looking back at old pictures even back to pregnancy. He’s never left her side. He is a mommy’s boy 100% but she’s his favorite girl.
Also he helps with morning wake ups lol he likes to jump on kids and this weird rambling bark.
• Advice (General) • AVOID CAUSE 4 PAWS Toronto!!! Promised Me a Dog, Gaslighted & Ghosted!
Had a deeply frustrating and eye opening experience trying to foster to adopt through Cause 4 Paws in Toronto. I am an experienced local and international foster and this has to be the most unprofessional organization I have come across and I have seen a lot. The coordinator, Helen, explicitly confirmed a dog named Anaisa (not special needs or a difficult breed) was on hold for me. Based on that promise, I went out, prepped my space, and bought all the required gear and trackers she had mentioned was needed on the phone.
She promised to set up a group chat with airport pickup details for Sunday, but never sent anything. After I cleared my entire Sunday schedule waiting on her, she only messaged me late Saturday night (because I prompted her first) claiming Anaisa was sick during transport and was being placed with a vet tech instead- this I could absolutely understand. What happened next was what made this situation look very sketchy.
She told me to reach out on Tuesday for an update, but left me almost three full days without a real response back, or update on Anaisa's health. I messaged her Tuesday morning like she asked, and she left me on read (read receipt and everything) all day. She finally texted back near 10:00 p.m. (prompted by an email) with another personal excuse, completely dodging every direct question about the dog's actual health or when she'd be coming to me, as was promised. I was more concerned for the dogs health and safety and they were more concerned on the fact they wanted no text or email communication- It’s very clear she refuses to put anything in writing via text or email and only wants to do everything through phone calls so there's no paper trail.
When I finally received an email from their main team to for a check up on Anaisa, another representative (Sue) emailed me back and literally tried to gaslight me, saying: "You must have misunderstood because being on hold does not mean that she is on hold for you." On the phone call Helen had explicitly stated Anaisa would be marked on hold for me, that I would foster to adopt and that they would require my help for Airport transport (which I am familiar with.)
I am amazed by the total lack of transparency, zero respect for adopters' time or emotional investment, and outright dishonesty. If you’re looking to foster or adopt in Ontario, save yourself the headache and go with a reputable rescue that actually communicates honestly.

• Advice (Health) • Old dog with bowel issues Spoiler
Sorry if my spelling is not good English is not my first language. I have Valkyrie since she's 7yo, a good dog with kids and other animals and my best friend. She's now 14 and started to shit in the house at night frequently. No pipi, just popo. And nothing liquid, all hard. Never during the day even if she spends more time alone not going out in the day than at night. During the week I work from home so I take her outside on my breaks but some weekends were out of the house for a long time. We had 3 back to back loaded weekends with birthdays, baby shower and apple picking with family and she was just fine not doing anything while we were gone but at night I take her outside around midnight and wake up at 6 because of the kids and I wake up to a mess to clean. I just don't get it. If she had accidents during the long days she's alone at home I would think she's unable to hold it anymore because of her age but no. One day during the weekend we left her at 7am and came back at 4pm and everything was fine, took her outside at midnight like usual and woke up at 6:30 to a pile of dog dooki in front of the dore. And it's not like I'm quick to get her inside. I leave her wonder in the yard as long as she wants, most of the time that's her who wants to come inside.

galleryMy precious girl, 15 years here on earth wasn’t nearly long enough.
You came to us as a 5 year old rescue and lived in our hearts from day one.
Every bed was your bed, but your recliner was yours alone.
For a big girl you had serious stealth mode, and the child lock on the pantry will remain as a reminder of you, our Hairy Bin Chicken.
Thank you for being the best big sister to Beez and not eating your little brother Pox, even though there were days where he was truly asking for it.
The local kids will miss their “Toothless Puppy”, giving you a Mohawk made you irresistible to the under 5’s.
We’re adding sticks and tennis balls to our street library so that other puppers can enjoy your favourite things.
Our hearts are broken, but we’d do it again in a second.
Run free, baby girl.

A year ago, I shared some pictures of Sky here. Some of you might remember him, some might not, but today officially marks two years without my true companion. Time has passed incredibly fast, but I choose to remember him with gratitude for the beautiful life we shared. His story was magically connected to the number 12: born on a 12th, lived for 12 years, passed away on an October 12th, and took his last breath right around 12 PM. A truly perfect number for a perfect friend. I know my good boy is now running free in the stars.
