We got our dog a puppy
Introducing Lily Munster, 11 weeks old & 9lbs of terrorizing fun. I had planned on getting another corgi next year but this all just had the craziest timing. We just had a fence installed in our backyard for Harlow (4.5 year old corgi) so he could get more exercise besides our walks. While it was being installed, I said I wanted to get a girl corgi sometime next year so Harlow has a friend that will be a little smaller than him once full grown.
2 hours later, my vet tech friend sent me a screenshot of a conversation she was having with her friend who works at a shelter. An 11 week old girl corgi was given to them by someone who said his work situation has changed and the shelter wanted to know if my friend knew anyone with corgi experience who was interested. I talked it over with my boyfriend and my mom and we agreed it was the right choice-- so we met her, did a meet and greet with Harlow and took her home within 72 hours of hearing about her.
We've now had her for just under a week and she's doing so well! She learned sit, shake, and is starting to understand wait. She's only pooped outside and we're getting there with housetraining.
She is of course in baby shark mode but were managing. Harlow loves her 85% of the time and we are working on that other 15%-- for now, it's supervised play for only 15-20 mins at a time, 3x a day.

U have food? Can I has??
The intense gaze for either wanting to sniff the scent of the food, or trying to send me a telepathic signal to beg for attention 24/7. Pam is silly like that XD

Training advice for teething puppy
Hi everyone! I’m a first time dog owner and definitely in the trenches right now with our cutie pie 12 week old puppy (included an obligatory photo). Like any corgi, he’s very food motivated and training was going well, but since his teething has gotten worse, he hasn’t seemed to want any food. We watered down his kibble which has so far solved that problem, but he doesn’t want his treats even though they are soft and chewy. Since he’s stopped wanting them, he’s not listening to a single thing we say because he has no motivation to.
Does anyone have any advice/tips for how to keep up training if he doesn’t want his treats. Or are there any alternative treats that can be used for training purposes? When I try to google it, all i’m getting are chews or frozen licking treats which doesn’t really seem to fit the category of small consistent rewards.

Went to a local Yappy Hour. There were 15-ish corgis.

My city hosts a few "Yappy Hours" at local parks during the summer. Last time, I'm pretty sure I counted 14 other corgis, plus my Jefferson. They were all in the off-leash area at the same time, and they were the only ones who were barking.

Pleased to Introduce ... Linus & Lucy
Hey fellow Corgi lovers,
These are my two Welsh corgis. The one on the left is Linus, the handsome. And the one on the right is Lucy, the rocket ship. They are half brother and sister. Lucy has her tail. Linus does not. This is a photo that was taken of them in Breckenridge while I was training in Switzerland. The dog sitter had a friend who was an animal photographer. And she gave me this as a momento of the time they spent with the pups. I love how she captured both of their personalities ... almost perfectly. I'm trying to schedule some time with the photographer to get some more shots of them.
Anyways, keep floofin'.

Website for dog costumes?
I’m having a hard time finding a Han Solo costume that fits my boy’s nubs 😩 my oldest dog has a Princess Leia costume from ages ago so it’s only appropriate that Harrison Corg is Han Solo. For S&G I ChatGPT an image to convince my husband lol

Birthday Boy
Seven years old today! We got him at the end of 2019 so he kind of accidentally became a Covid Puppy. Glad he turned out normal. 🙃
