This is a 2006 NC (NC1) Miata with 6 speed manual that would be a perfect candidate to be converted to a track car. It's got under 102,000 miles with a clean title.

The engine has developed the typical knock, so I was going to strip the whole car down and swap in a 2.5L to convert it for track use, but I ended up buying a classic roadster that this Miata needs to go to make room for. It is technically drivable, but I'd suggest against driving it more than 5-10 miles just to be safe.

The paint is rough, but the body is actually very straight and solid overall. The car has a duckbill spoiler, as well as rear bolt-on flares (easily removable). There are also threaded inserts in the front fenders to attach bolt-on fender flares there. Later-model 17" wheels and 215/45ZR17 tires are on all four corners.

Already installed on the car is a set of KW coilovers, and an AEM 50-state legal cold air intake system. (If you are unfamiliar with those parts, definitely google them so you can see what value they add, as well as how much they generally cost.)

So you really can just take this car home, strip the interior and add a roll bar, and swap in a 2.5L motor for a couple hundred bucks and go racing!

It is a 2-wheel drive with air bags for both steering wheel, passenger, and upper roof for the front of the car. Automatic but can be out in manual. I am a mechanic of 12 + years. I worked with the most recent owner and bought the vehicle from her as she wanted a new vehicle altogether. After performing tests to determine that the engine appears quite healthy, I performed a multitude of repairs, which are listed below, including results from engine tests.

Repairs/maintenance/tests completed in past 2 months:

- Compression test on all 4 cylinders performed, with each cylinder measuring between 205-210 psi. - Video documentation available for each cylinder as tested.
- Cylinder leak-down test performed on all 4 cylinders with results ranging from 5-8% on all cylinders (healthy is typically considered less than 15% leakage in any given cylinder). Video documentation also available for each cylinder as tested.
- Full timing belt service including new belt, water pump, all pulleys, hydraulic tensioner, both camshaft oil seals and front crankshaft seal. Highlander quality Aisin timing kit was used in service.
- Engine coolant crossover pipe o-rings replaced, including fresh engine coolant.
- Front and rear differential fluid replaced.
- CVT Transmission fluid replaced.
- Engine oil changed and filter replaced.
- Both front lower control arms with ball joints replaced.
- Right front outer tie rod end replaced.
- Both rear wheel bearing/hub assemblies replaced with NTN brand bearing/hub assemblies.
- Right front wheel bearing/hub assembly replaced with NTN brand bearing/hub assembly.
- Front brake pads and rotors replaced with Akebono parts.

Other information:

- Tires have 80% life remaining.
- A/C blows ice cold.
- Sound system is stock Harman/Kardon with stock subs.
- Heated leather seats.
- Passed Oregon emissions less than 1 month ago, emissions ready, all monitors have run, no check engine light.

Known issues:
