Hi, i'm an Italian MSc Economics and Finance Student and i would like to apply for a Master abroad (90 Ects) in the academic year 2028/2029 at one of most important Business School across Europe.
I need a strong Gmat, and i have time until the beginning of 2028 to reach a good score. Last year i approached for few months to the prep so I don't start completely from zero (and i have a B2 level of English on Reading). If you were in my situation, what kind of study plan do you follow? And studying on average one or two hour/day (i would increase in free exam periods), what score can i reach?
I already have the official books 2024/2025 to prepare and exercise (photo). Are they good or is better to buy the most recent ones? What others resources should i use? Thank you very much.

I am currently Active Duty Military with ~4 years remaining on my contract. I have a B.S. in Economics from college and my goal is to start working towards an MBA in 2031 when I exit service.
What are the best steps I should take between now and then to make myself a competitive applicant?
I am thinking along the lines of online degrees or certifications but if there is any other advice I would appreciate that as well.
I really don't know much about the details of this path, right now I just know where I want to be and am unsure of the best steps to get me there.

Hi everyone! I'm a high school senior (international student-athlete, planning to play college hockey in the US) trying to decide on a major. I'm strongly considering Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Sales.
For those who went through this program (or something similar):
I'm a strong communicator, comfortable with people, but weaker on the quant/technical side ā trying to figure out if this path plays to those strengths or if I'm missing something. Would really appreciate honest experiences, good or bad!

Hi all,
Would appreciate any thoughts on which of the bottom options you would take in my position with cost taken into account. UK citizen and UK Gov post-grad loan will cover first £13.2k of the course I choose.
Looking to get into the commercial side of oil/gas/energy work or the financing side of these types of projects at banks (perhaps corporate banking, commercial banking or some type of project finance).
For Real Estate it would be real estate asset management, brokerage or PE. FYI have just under two years experience working in capital markets policy work and couple internships at financial comms firms. 2:1 from a decent Russell Group uni in International Relations. Could probably get into LSE, Imperial, UCL etc but cost is a big factor and they are too expensive.
Will need to make final decision by end of this week and pay deposit. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone, I am from an asian country I am doing my bachelors from one of the most reputed business schools in my country. However I have always wanted to pursue a career abroad. I am a bit unsure if I should major in international business or anything else. Besides I have other hobbies I am pretty good at. Please let me know how I should utilise my days in university and network to make the most of it. (Please be nice)

Hi all, would really appreciate some advice on my work/study situation
I'm a UK citizen from London who graduated from the University of Leeds in 2022 with a mid-2:1 in International Relations. No real quant background (just basic maths), but I have just under 2 years' experience in the capital markets policy team at one of the UK's/Europe's major finance trade bodies (think AFME, UK Finance, The Investment Association)
I've been considering starting a master's this September to strengthen my profile. I could probably have got into LSE, Imperial, UCL or Warwick for an MSc Management, but they're £40k+ and there are basically no scholarships left this late in the cycle. I also can't apply for MSc Finance because I don't have the required finance/maths background
So far I've received offers from Bath, Nottingham and Exeter for MSc Management, plus Bayes and Henley for MSc Real Estate (Henley gave me a £2k scholarship). Still waiting on Lancaster and Cranfield for MSc Management
Most courses are around £15k-20k, but Bath has offered me a £5k scholarship, bringing tuition down from £18.9k to £13.9k. With the £13k UK Gov postgraduate loan, I'd basically only be paying living costs out of pocket while repaying the masters fee alongside my bachelors fee only when I am earning over a certianly salary.
Long term, I'm not interested in investment banking. I'd much rather work in wealth management/private banking, energy project finance, corporate/business development, or potentially real estate capital markets, asset management or PE if I went down the real estate route.
The job market has been pretty rough. I left my previous role to travel earlier this year and haven't managed to land anything for this September, which is why I'm now seriously considering a master's. I'm fully aware that just having the degree won't be enough and I'd need to get a distinction, join relevant societies, network hard and secure internships where possible.
Given my background and career goals, do you think the master's (especially Bath at effectively no out of pokcet tuition cost) is my best option? Or would I be better off spending the next month trying to break into a boutique wealth management/private banking firm in London by networking and cold emailing instead? Bear in mind I would like to find something to start by late August/September after travelling and returning to London
Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

How to effectively study and take notes in BBA, and how to apply this knowledge in real life. Means how to have the deep understanding of the chapters and there real practical application in real life business world. How to bridge the studied knowledge with the real life business world. I want to be best in it. How to have that level of critical and deep thinking ?

Iām hoping to get some honest advice from people who have gone through the part-time MBA application process.
Iām 29 and work in marketing NYC. I have about seven years of professional experience and am considering part-time MBA programs because I want to continue working and ideally use the degree to move into stronger strategy, growth, or marketing leadership roles while still working my day job.
The schools Iām currently considering are all mostly in the northeast. Stern would probably be my top choice, but Iām trying to build a realistic list rather than becoming overly focused on one school.
Just to name a few, my main focuses would be:
My biggest issue right now is standardized testing, namely understanding the "right" path forward. I work full-time and have been preparing for the GMAT using Target Test Prep. Iām studying roughly 10-20 hours per week, but progress has felt slow. Iām starting to question whether continuing this exact path makes sense financially or strategically. Iām worried that I could spend six to nine more months preparing without ever reaching the kind of GMAT score that would make the juice worth the squeeze.
That makes me wonder whether Iām forcing myself through the GMAT simply because it is the traditional MBA exam, rather than because it is actually the best test for me. Many of the programs on my list accept the GRE, Executive Assessment, or allow applicants to apply test-optional. Stern also says it has no preference among its accepted exams.
Iām trying to understand:
Iām not looking for the āeasiestā test so much as the one that gives me the best chance of earning a competitive score while balancing a FT job and applying to these programs. Iām serious about getting an MBA, but the more program websites, score ranges, and test options I research, the less certain I feel about what the rational next step is.
Any honest advice, especially from part-time MBA students or people who switched exams who ended up enrolling in any of the schools I'm looking at, would be appreciated.

If I master Basic Algebra, will solving and understanding BSBA Business Economics be much easier?
Hello! I am an incoming first year student and Iād like to know if I master and improve my understanding and skills in algebra, will Business Economics go much more smoother for me to absorb?
My program is BSBA Business Economics and Iām advance studying on the potential subjects that Iāll encounter in this course, so Iād like to know if mastering algebra (Iām subpar at math but is willing to learn) will make me understand it more, and also, if there are any more I can add to my foundation, please feel free to tell me!
Thank you so much for your answers! Iāll be waiting

Many business graduates immediately pursue private industry, but I've noticed some professionals start in government, develop leadership and program management skills, and later transition into private-sector leadership roles.
Has anyone taken this route?
Did government experience help your career long term?
Interested in hearing real-world experiences.

Im puting together what id like my business associates experience to look like and I, clearly, have no idea what im doing. Does anyone have words of wisdom? Things you would change. Recommendations? All is welcome. Im trying to get the most knowledge out of my degree but feel a bit stuck in what direction I should be headed. Just feels like I've tried to touch on as much as I could.
The last semester isnt filled out fully yet. I have one more mandatory business credit.
Im trying to move towards entrepreneurship
Thanks in advance.

After looking at reddit reviews most of the people call ESCP a cash cow saying its totally not worth it for the price. Howevr escp happens to be my only option for this year cause i failed to send applications to other unis.
I most likely will pursue a career in finance or go into entrepreneurship. Im really motivated and and want to study hard in uni but i know that escp bsc curriculum is really easy and not technical at all so i feel like i wont gain any mathematical and finance related knowledge. So i feel like it would be harder for me to break into finance.
They did give me a scholarship so i will be paying 18k however its still a bit of a struggle financially. So i was thinking of taking a gap year and applying to KU LEUVAN or UvA, etc. I am a bit woried because i know that with bachelors networking and intenrships are the most importannt aspect and its all about experience rather than studying. But at the same time i dont just wanna waste 3 years of my life having fun.
What would you guys recommend?

I have friends who have gone to both Harvard Business School and Wharton, and I can't quite put my finger on which one is better. Harvard seems, at this point, in tech, to continue to support the gatekeepers of infrastructure and workflow systems. Wharton, on the other hand, seems to be looking at the future of consumer AI. As innovative as Wharton's approach may seem, I will bet on HBS, simply because there is sometime no way around traditions that have embedded themselves.

For my 18yo who is not necessarily staying in Canada long term. U of T has the prestigious brand name which is internationally recognized, but Schulich is an excellent program and landing good internships and a good first opportunity post-graduation (+ the network) favor Schulich, in Canada at least. What do you think?

I am a 23 Year Old Senior Web3 Developer, started early (when I was 18) and Now I have garnered around 5 years of experience (Including College, Excluding is only 2) with also some Lead Dev Work under my CV, but even with Web3 as an Option I was always looking to get into Finance (I chose DeFi / Crypto to be Specific), Made tech protocols for these.
Also, had an year long startup stint during my second year, an EV Infra based Mobile App, Which was grant funded by my College and Startup India. I was a Y Combinator Top 10% in 2021 (OGs say it used to mean something then, not now, but I am not sure).
My Choice of Business School is very Childish but Simple, Either Top 25 in the World or No.
Cause I dont hate my work, my work pays me more than Average for Any B School Below that, and I am being Realistic, I can accumulate Debt to just Pursue this out of Curiosity cause I need stability and returns. But my job is a High Risk High Reward Endeavour, Unstable and Brutal at the same time. I just resigned from a Company to take a Sabbatical due to an inhumane burnout, so thought this is a nice to to grab this opportunity
I would say I am from a Tier 1.5 College (Maybe Tier 1), 8.5 GPA and I am currently consistently scoring 630-650 in my GMAT Mocks.
What do you think my Plan of Action should be: (Listed as per my Preferences --> Top to Bottom)
1.) Prep and Give GMAT, Essays and Just Get into School Rn and While you are there, Do CFA.
2.) Do some Financial Research Internship (In Defi or AI in Finance), and Prep of GMAT and CFA at the Same go.
3.) Wait out and Let the Web3 Thing Unfold, while I get some more experience under my hood.
