Read before buying/selling tickets on this sub.

Scammers buying and selling tickets are very common. Use your own judgement when buying and selling but know you are always taking a risk. Here's a few tips to help avoid scams. Also report any suspicious activity or scammers to mods for potential bans.

-Look at their posting history and karma. If they only have one or two posts (most have none) and little to no karma they are a scammer. Only interact with sellers that have a long history of Reddit activity in a variety of different subreddits. If the buyer or seller has zero basketball related history it may be more likely to be a scam. Some legitimate users are new which is tough for them to gain trust. It is very easy to buy reddit accounts with a long history so you may want to sift through their post history to see if they appear to be a bulls or basketball fan.

-Only use PayPal Goods and Services. Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, and any other service does not protect your purchase. PayPal Goods and Services offers protection. DO NOT use PayPal Friends and Family as it does not offer purchase protection. If a seller suggests using anything other than PayPal Goods and Services they are going to rip you off. They will probably try to convince you that PayPal Goods and Services comes with a fee so it should not be used. That is a bait and switch to try to rip you off. I'd also suggest using a credit card when paying through PayPal for extra protection.

-Don't be fooled by sellers gathering info from you as if they are preparing to send. They'll ask if you have the Ticketmaster app. They'll ask for your email. They'll ask for your full name. You might think that they wouldn't bother with that info if they are scamming you but that is the point. They want to lull you into a false sense of security.

-Don't be afraid to ask for a social media account to make sure the seller is more legit. This doesn't make them legit but could help. Also don't be afraid to ask for proof of tickets or season pass status. Of course people can fake this but use your own judgement.

-If the price is too good to be true it probably is. Unless there's a last minute sale that may justify a low price be careful. I've posted requests for games and have gotten people trying to sell court side tickets for $100. It will happen and you have to be careful not to get caught up in the moment and make a dumb decision. Price shouldn't be too far from face value.

-PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment on a post with a successful purchase. Both the buyer and seller should comment the other parties username and that the transaction went smooth. This helps verify a users trustworthiness in the future. This can unfortunately be faked by scammers making fake posts and saying things went smooth with other accounts. So don't rely solely on someone saying it went smooth.

Buy PSA to Bulls fans: Don’t rush to buy tickets during presale or the first few days of the general sale.

If you can wait, I would.

The Bulls and Ticketmaster use dynamic pricing, so ticket prices can move based on demand and traffic. Presales and the first few days of the general sale are exactly when the Bulls are pushing emails, social media, presale codes, etc. and driving a ton of fans to Ticketmaster.

That increased traffic/demand can make it look like you need to buy immediately, when in reality you could end up paying significantly more than you would if you waited for the initial rush to die.

Don’t let the presale/FOMO convince you that today is automatically the cheapest time to buy.

Watch the prices. Give it a few days. Check again once the initial traffic settles down.

Ticketmaster dynamic pricing is designed to react to demand and buying while everyone else is hitting the site at the same time can work against you. Just a heads-up for anyone seeing all the Bulls presale emails right now and thinking they need to buy immediately.

FB Ticket Selling Groups

Just making this post to warn everyone, a lot of these ticket selling groups, especially the ones that require “verification”, are scam groups. These admins will ask for money to confirm you are real and will promise money back regardless if they sell or not. I fell into this trap as I was trying to get rid of my tickets asap for close to what I bought them for, but I bought the bullet and posted them on Ticketmaster for a loss that ended up selling later that day. When I asked for the money back, I got ghosted, removed from the group, and blocked by the account I was chatting with. This “lady” in particular runs or is an admin in a lot of these pages.

Please do not verify yourself by sending money. It’s not worth it and they will try and get you to do it. I feel like an absolute idiot as I don’t normally fall for this shit, but you live and you learn.

Buy UC seating

Hi all, Coming over from Ireland for our first bulls game this year. I see early season tickets have gone on sale for a few early season games. It seems you can purchase tickets at 100/200/300 baseline level. By baseline level, do they mean you can purchase eg the 200 level behind the basket? It does not look like you can select your exact seats

Hello! It is my first time in USA and Chicago and I would like to go in an NBA game. Where can I buy tickets? I will be there towards end of September beggining of October. Can I buy tickets from now? I could not find anything online. If you could also give me a website I would very much appreciate it. THANK YOU!!
