Alim is releasing Brave Frontier Origin in 2027 worldwide as confirmed in their AMA. Gumi is not involved. They also have an English version of their website with some information and a roadmap.
You can find their official social media at the links below
In terms of how this will affect the subreddit, I've already adjusted some flairs. As the game nears release, I imagine we'll come up with some more flairs and rules as well. Hopefully this will be a good one since Gumi isn't involved. Fingers crossed!

Hello everyone, long time no see. As many of you may have noticed, Brave Frontier has a new entry in the franchise, Brave Frontier Versus. It's been a hot topic on the subreddit recently, and while we've unofficially allowed it, on paper this subreddit was only about Brave Frontier 1. We've talked it over as a mod team and decided to change that today.
Rule 1 has been updated to allow for discussion of all Brave Frontier franchise games on this subreddit, provided that you flair them appropriately. When posting content that is not related to Brave Frontier 1, always select the relevant game content thread instead of other flair.
I have made an attempt to flair existing posts appropriately. Users who aren't interested in non BF1 content can simply view the subreddit excluding these new flairs. We hope that this will improve everyone's community experience!

DISCORD:https://discord.gg/Fz8byyzGf5
Hey all,
Like a lot of you I’m waiting on Alim’s Brave Frontier Origin (2027) and keeping an eye on Recoded. I got impatient, so I started rebuilding BF in the browser as a side project. It’s at a point where you can actually play it, so I figured I’d share it as something to keep you busy while we wait.
Play: https://rebornbf.com
It uses the original game’s assets and data: the unit sprites and animations, the UI, the maps, and kits and hit frames taken from the Global data. Battles work the way you remember. Sparking runs on the real hit frames, and BB/SBB/UBB, OD, BC/HC drops, leader skills, elements and ailments are all in, plus Auto and x2 speed.
What’s in right now:
Story: Mistral and Morgan, including the story captures Trials: Trial No. 001 and Trial No. 003 (with Creator Maxwell as the reward) Vortex: permanent dungeons, including Metal Parade and the enhancement areas Units: the Six Heroes and the first few Rare Summon batches, the Army Commanders, and Creatures of Grand Gaia Summoning: Rare Summon with the gate animations. You get gems by playing. There’s nothing to buy. Progression: fusion, evolution, spheres, and squad management
Coming next: St. Lamia and Amdahl, more unit batches, and more vortex dungeons. I’m releasing it in chunks, roughly in the order Global did.
It’s completely free and non-commercial. There are no ads, no paid summons and no donations, and there never will be. When Origin comes out I’ll be playing it too. This is just a way to scratch the itch in the meantime.
Full disclosure: I used AI coding tools to help write the code. All the art and game data is from the original game.
If you try it, tell me what feels off compared to how you remember it, like damage numbers, spark timing, or anything else. That kind of feedback helps the most.

Over a year ago, I made a post about making a fan fiction, and its its finally coming to fruition! The amount of digging it took to get the right names and backgrounds took way too long, but I want to say in the coming month I will be posting a small portion of the story, not in a fanfiction capacity, but in more of a spin-off/ my own thing kinda story.
It leads up to my own world with Vargas, Selena, Eze, and Lance being my main characters for story, while having the world in and of its self taking a back seat. I feel everyone would enjoy a story about the four main characters and their stories that pertain to their elements, so I will branch off this and show you all my own interpretation of their origins and how they became adventurers for Grand Gaia. Can’t wait to show Yall soon!

I suggest that we pin a post that Origin worldwide release is coming (they originally said NA/Japan focus but changed it to worldwide)
Pinned posts currently are about the game being gone. Not sure if it would be best to remove those current pins, but the point is: The important thing is NOT for people to know that the original Brave Frontier is gone. The important thing is for people to know that Origin is coming.
edit: fixed typos

I wish there were daily updates. I want to play the game so bad time is starting to move slower. Bf was my first gacha and i honestly had no idea how to play other than spam summon and evolve units and jam them into a team and clear any content i could and if i couldnt, i would just wait for power creep and repeat until i could and i honestly bricked my account as a f2p with a bunch of garbage in my box. I am so ready for a fresh start and now i am old enough to actually have money to spend into the game. I loved the collabs (deemo was my favorite but i doubt thats ever gonna happen again) and bf’s mouthless art style is the only artstyle that i feel is a perfect balance of chibi and edgy and don’t mind turning into pixels in-game and i don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion because ive seen some posts on both sides but i loved 7 star and omni evolution i honestly hope it goes to 10 like PaD but with a cooler name and symbol for 9 and 10 like they did with omni and for some units to start at 3 star like the starters or even 1 rather than 7 so i can grind and evolve them the whole way and see new art because i felt like summoning them at 7 cheapened omni. Getting a plain looking unit and going on the fandom wiki to see the evolutions turning them into a beast is such a rush. I specifically remember behemoth surprisingly having evolutions all the way up to omni 🤤 SO nostalgic
BUT I feel like im just getting my hopes up because i dont understand how you are a game company with a team of sentient humans called “game developers” yet make 4 different versions of a game with the same franchise and they all end service faster than the previous one and now their latest attempt is basically resorting to a remake of the original game which is imo their best idea yet but what are they doing to prevent another failure? If they didn’t learn how to make a good game the previous 4 times how is this different? Did the devs magically get better, is it a new dev team, is this all just an elaborate final rugpull and theyre hoping peoples nostalgia will make them enough money to make back their losses before they shut everything down and run?
I imagine with all their failures and now resorting to a remake means this is their last attempt at making anything brave frontier related before giving up on global completely and honestly i dont even know if the devs’ morale is high enough to make the best decisions for the game. If i tried something and i failed 4 times out of 4 in the span of 20 years, i would probably not be very confident in decision making and with the current age of gacha games idk if nostalgia and a small group of fans that have been constantly let down is enough to make the game last especially in today’s market. They have to be faithful to the original but also compete with today’s sfx and animations and im not sure if upping the pixels by a couple bits is enough. Older similar games that are from the same era as bf and are still live have established whales that are too deep to quit but Origin has to rebuild their playerbase and they will have no attachments and will leave if the game is not banging out the gate especially with its track record. Bf may be special to us because we remember it when it was the og of its type of games but nowadays to someone seeing it release for the first time they probably won’t see how it’s better or even different from grand summoners or last cloudia or even op treasure cruise. I know its still a bit far off but i really hope they spam ads everywhere with a really good fucking hook when jts near release date cause they desperately need it (because again their track record isn’t great)
All i know so far is that gumi is no longer apart of it. I was never a part of the community back then so idk what gumi did or didnt but is their uninvolvement with the new game really going to make that much of a difference?
TL;DR I want to play soooooooooooooooooooo fucking bad but i have soooooooooooooooooooo little faith. I WANT MY MAIDS

I don't care if I get hate for this but I always hated him when I found out he was the one that killed the Six Heroes. His redemption didn't change my outlook on him and I will always advocate that he's a bum. I'm never forgiving him. Even if he is my best Unit in Cloudia

Since new game was announced, I thought about making a fictional ability kit for one of my favourite Brave Frontier units in LoL to remember old times. I pictured him as an agile yet slightly clunky (he's old) assassin with lots of combo options. His main gimmicks are his dash-through passive and his elemental stances that completely alter what role he plays during fights (either single target oneshot or multiple target damage with slight CC, but not both at the same time).
ABILITY KIT
Class: Slayer
Damage type: AD
Intended Role: Mid/Jungler
P: Soul Piercer
Grahdens' basic attack works as a short ranged fixed distance dash that passes through the target unit and grants Grahdens a stack of Soul Rejection (up to 5), decaying after being 5 seconds out of combat. It has a 0.7s CD that can be slightly reduced based on AH and a 10s CD per target.
The first attack to an enemy target deals up to 110% extra AP damage in a small area around it, based on Grahdens' Soul Rejection stacks.
Q: Twilight Spear (7s CD)
Hold: Grahdens slows himself before performing a dash forwards in the direction he's facing, dealing AD damage to all enemies hit. The length of the dash increases the longer he charges it (up to 3s). (Can begin charging while dashing with Passive).
Tap: Grahdens pokes forward with his spear, dealing damage to all enemies hit.
Recast: Grahdens draws his sword, being able to use 3 non-dash quick basic attacks for 3 seconds.
W: Light Switch/Dark Switch (12-7s CD)
In light stance: Grahdens gains a shield and movement speed for 3.5 seconds, then switches to dark stance.
In dark stance: Grahdens becomes camouflaged to ONLY the nearest enemy for 3.5 seconds, leaving an afterimage when he dashes through a different target and revealing himself completely when using an ability or coming close to an enemy champion. Then, he switches to light stance.
E: Spirit Burst (12-7s CD)
Passive: Grahdens marks every enemy he attacks for the duration of the fight.
Light stance active: Grahdens selects a target within range, stops for 1s and hits the ground with the base of his spear, dealing true damage to a single target based on the number of marks and executing it under a certain threshold. Consumes all marks.
Dark stance active: Grahdens stands still for 1s and hits the ground with the base of his spear, dealing damage to all enemies marked within range based on the number of marks and rooting them for 1s. Consumes all marks.
R: Apocalypse Zero (110/90/70s CD)
Grahdens gathers strength for 1s, after which, he becomes untargetable and instantly dashes swiftly in a straight line, pulling nearby enemies slightly towards his trajectory. After 1.2s, the area he passed through explodes, dealing AOE mixed damage, proccing max stacks Soul Rejection to all enemies hit and marking them for double Spirit Burst effects.

After the colab ended I honestly kind of kept playing cause the game reminded me so much of BF. Now I beat the 1st arc of the game and it feels like I'm playing the story all over again. If Origins for some reason sucks then I'd happily keep playing this one.

Hi everyone, I wanted just to share my new DND campaign coming to life with our beloved BF characters.
I also did more than just using their design and names, I'm also 3D printing and painting them. And more, I created a video monitor inside my master screen, where I show them photos, maps, and stylized battle setting. During battle I place them like a bf squad (my players are six) and the monster on the other side.
And I must say... Even without all the DIY and hand-work, using bf is pretty inspiring for creating a DND world (Vargas and friends are the six heroes also of my world, just to say).
I recommend this to all of you!
P.s. Seeing Seria all painted and standing there when I finished... It was such a wonderful sight, as I was giving new life to them again🥲

Small disclaimer: If Alim has covered this anywhere yet, I apologize. I'm not up to date with all of the info.
So, I know Alim is working on BF Origin, which is basically OG Brave Frontier, just a bit more polished (from what it looks like). But there was a thought I had that I feel like could be a bit controversial. How do you handle power creep and progression?
Giving everyone a bunch of Omni units right at the start (to appease the crowd who did everything in the OG game) is an awful idea. But at the same time, you have people who played the game for 10 years on one account, and making them start over from scratch with a Vargas, a Burny, and a Mossy, will also be a bit of a bummer for some people.
What do you think is the right move? Some sort of middle ground where veterans can log in to their old account and get a special reward? Or the more likely move of "New Game, new account"?
