Shoe review Steel Toe Footwear
The Birkenstock QS 700. Remove the cork foot bed and replace with NorthSole foot bed. Witten will work as well. You now have a wide toe box, zero drop, somewhat thin soled steel toe work boot. This pair is almost 2 years old, and still not even close to being done. I do usually around 10,000 steps per day in these, 5 days per week. The soles have minimal wear. Nothing is separating anywhere. When it comes time to replace these, I have no reason trying anything else. While they might not be classified as barefoot, they are 100% barefoot friendly. This is the only footwear I own that isn't classified as barefoot. I have been barefooting for like 15 years. If you need work boots with safety toes, these are the ones.
