On post asking If men know what women go through when we ovulate NSFW
I'm not entirely sure what we're supposed to be going through anyway, it's not like we're cats in heat

Do you have an anatomy question that you don't want to make a whole post about? Ask it here! Just please be mindful of rule 8 which prohibits medical advice.

No, an undead draconic vampire slime with a small waist is NOT bad "women's" anatomy. Neither is random squiggles that you think looks slightly feminine, or someone who sucks at drawing, or someone drawing abstract art.
Botched AI art isn't bad anatomy, it's just AI being bad. Hentai isn't bad anatomy, it's just porn some dude likes jerking off to. Yes, there's lots of badly photoshopped exaggerations in advertisement, but it's not bad anatomy to have bigger booties, and we don't need you reposting pictures from Shein every day to farm a little bit of karma.
The spirit of this sub is about having a bad understanding of women's anatomy. It's not just for complaining about unrealistic beauty standards or generic misogyny. We are not a dumping ground for porn or karma farmers to spam whatever trash they find on google images or AI prompts.
So please consider what you're posting before hitting the submit button. Or I will have to start swinging banhammers and we may have to consider requiring manual approval for new posts.

Never mind the fact that his “phds” and “the science” prove that opposite sex friends can’t exist, it’s also a scientific fact that we don’t wear shorts on our periods lmao

(I hope it's ok to link to another sub here - the original post has now been locked, which should prevent any brigading.)
https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/1x17o11/im_developing_a_jiggle_physics_mod_for_the_sims_2/
OP wrote a big long thing about how their intent is to show bodies moving in realistic ways, and that they also intend to animate butts and bellies jiggling, but the video only shows boobs jiggling in an incredibly unrealistic way, no animated butts or bellies anywhere. The boobs are also heavily modified from how they appear in the unmodded game - they are much bigger and precisely circular, like someone superglued half-spheres of jello to her chest. If they had not claimed the purpose of this mod to be anything other than "I like watching boobs jiggle, so I want to see jiggling boobs in my game" I wouldn't post it here, but because they spent so much time trying to justify it being "realistic", I had to.

Hi! I don't know if this is a question that would be better posed to a subreddit dedicated to romance novels, but thought I would start here...
Do any of you know of romance novels that don't perpetuate myths created by a bad understanding of women's anatomy? I don't mind the concept of virginity in novels, so long as it is portrayed as a psychological thing and/or a societal construct. I've before found novels that started off with "virginity is a societal construct" but went on to include the main character's first time being exactly the patriarchal stereotype of a virgin's first time: a described "breeching" of the hymen, short-lived bleeding, and pain that disappears after a few moments of the man being still inside of her. And all of that without consideration for possible gynecological health concerns causing the pain, or the possibility that she coincidentally started her period as to the cause of the blood. Whenever I read that portrayal, I find myself screaming at the book "THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS!!!"
I'm extremely partial to historical fiction, and I know that bad women's anatomy is especially prevalent in that sub-genre. But I have before managed to find historical romance novels that had the female main character expect her first time to be like the patriarchal stereotype, and end up being much more realistic. I'd be happy to share my findings with anyone interested.
Thanks in advance ❤️

So, apparently, Lizzie Borden has horrible heavy periods that come on instantaneously like she is having diarrhea. In addition, this is caused by her having an intact hymen (?) Which prevents the period blood from leaving her body, which causes cramping (even though the period leaves her body because we see huge giant diarrhea-like periods). The only solution? Sex. A penis or dildo-machine is the only way to break this intact, impenetrable thick hymen. Only her sexy Irish maid knows this and can help her fix her woman vagina problem. Women's bodies are complicated! How did anyone in the writer's room okay this? Did a gay man who has zero knowledge of vaginas write this? Made me turn off the show and not want to watch any more. Not offended by the misinformation, but offended by the stupidity of whoever wrote it and whoever read it and approved it. I want to write a story in which a man has testicle pain because his anus has a hemorrhoid which causes his sperm to back-up inside the head of his penis and the only solution is for him to get pegged by the hot pool boy. I am sure men can relate to that and will love it.

This made me so angry! In 1870 scientists discovered the rete ovarii in women's anatomy. They couldn't figure out what they did so they figured they were useless and removed them from the anatomy books. Of course, the rete testi in men has been studied extensively and has remained in the textbooks. The rete ovarii has now been "rediscovered" and they think they could regulate hormones to the ovaries. Wow, I can't think of any reason we might want to study that? s/
Here is a short video with a little more info. I just gave you the TLDR above.

I have endometriosis, and I spend a lot of time in endometriosis communities. Most of us have a pretty robust understanding of reproductive anatomy because we need to advocate for ourselves and also understand the disease. I was wondering what would a layman think if I explained my endo. Would people in this sub understand at all?
At my surgery, they found my uterus stuck to my rectum, my bladder stuck to my uterus, and even my bladder stuck to my rectum with the adhesion band anchored via a nodule on my cervix. Basically my uterus, rectum, bladder and cervix were all glued together by endo. Pretty crazy stuff!!!
(I also have a mullerian anomaly but that’s a conversation for another day.)
Did anything of what I explained make any sense? What is your reaction to reading all that 🤔 Apparently some men think that women pee from the vagina, or don’t know the difference between a vulva and a vagina. I’m assuming the reproductive knowledge level is pretty low in the general public. so I’m curious if what I described is extremely confusing…
