Hey everyone. I just started my alter a few months ago. I’m more of a celestial and nature type. Right now, I’m burning incense/candles and use that space to read and journal. I’d love to start getting into the craft.

Can anyone recommend spell books that they’ve found helped out earlier on, or what they are currently using? I have a drawer filled with herbs that I don’t want to put to waste. 🤣

I’m not really sure if I’m a witch, but I feel very inclined to learning tarot and I do consider myself to be some type of clairvoyant (or maybe that’s just my adhd). Also while learning, could I stop in the middle of my reading and search up/use a book to identify a card?

I need advice! I have a money bowl on my work desk that I filled with rice as a base, and while bothering me at my work from home job, my cat decided to take a chomp out of the rice. My partner and I are leaving for a trip this weekend. I know that the simple solution is to put the money bowl into a cabinet and rework it when we come back, but does anyone have any suggestions for how to keep him from eating my spell? I have included a picture of the villain in question, and my money bowl, for attention

My place of business is in a building that is over 200 years old and is considered to be haunted. Would there be any benefit/detriment to doing workings in a haunted space? Are there things that would work well? Workings that should specifically be avoided?

I’m ready to meet my husband and I feel like it’s close. My Pisces moon is picking up on someone’s energy. What would you suggest I do leading up to it?

A couple weeks ago, while I was out of town on a work trip, my daughter's check engine light came on. Sucks, but ok. I'm out of town, she can use my car. The next day, she's driving my car and MY check engine light comes on. Now my husband wasn't able to come pick me up from the airport. My Uber got lost twice, and I sweated in the Houston airport garage for about 25 minutes at 1030 pm. Then my super sweet Uber driver just talked the entire 30 minutes drive home I was so freaking tired, but she was so sweet.

The mechanic shop had a flu outbreak and both cars were delayed. Finally get to pick up the cars and they EACH had a $2600 bill. Ok, sucks, but we have an emergency fund for such situations.

Just a few days after picking up my car, the check engine light came back on as I was driving my teens to the mall. Ugh, annoying.

That was yesterday, today my daughter calls me during the only 30 minutes of the day I'm on a work call. I answered and she was in tears. She'd be involved in her first accident. It wasn't her fault, and no one was hurt. Some other young driver changed lanes and just swerved right into her. So after 3 days with all 3 cars, we're back down to just one.

I've been trying to find the positives and reframe my thinking. Everyone is safe and healthy, none of these situations will ruin us, etc. Today I'm choosing to believe that someone is trying to protect me and my daughter? Like maybe if all cars were running normally, something catastrophic would have happened?

But this is getting tiresome. Should I be offering thanks? Do I need to apologize for something? Ask for protection? I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I'm still a beginner with all this, so usually how I do my spells is, if it's a romance spell & I wanna make sure there are no blockages or third parties in the way, I take two pink or red candles, and I place them close together touching each other. I put cinnamon, salt and basil in a circle around the two pink or red candles. Then I place my black candle on the outside of that circle -- which represents the third parties or the blockages. Am I doing that right? I figured I put the red or pink candles together in a salt/cinnamon circle that way they can be protected by whatever the black candle represents.

FYI I do this with money spells also.

Hiii. Does anyone s shoulder ache or whole arm got heavy when you are low on energy or need cleansing. For like nearly 10 years my left shoulder or whole left arm would get heavy or ache when there is heavy energy, when i go to some places, even talking to some people. Till now i used juniper leaf for cleansing. Now i am in the country that i cant find juniper leaf. If there is someone like me what do you guys use. what helps?

I’ve never done this before so I wanted to ask how to go about this. I have some dragons blood incense, common crystals, and some herbs.

I wanna be friends with a specific people, but they’re a like five. And two of them are my neighbors and I wanna know if there’s any spell to be their friends (BEFORE you say just talk to them, I think they’re just very shy, like I live here for years and I know almost everyone but they’re just like shy? And I almost never see them either) and my neighbors are brothers, one girl and one boy and I kinda like the boy?? Romantically I mean, so I’m looking for a spell to be her friend and also to maybe create a mutual attraction, but I don’t know if that would be like an obsession spell or a love spell? Because I don’t know how to do those (I read that you need protection and a lot).

There’s a toxic family member in my life that I’m not able to distance myself from for the foreseeable future. They treat everyone awfully and bring out the worst in all of us. They’re greedy and emotionally draining to be around. I don’t wish them ill will because they tend to double down on their behavior and it ends up being worse. Is there a spell or ritual I can do to protect my emotions/wellbeing around them?

Grew up Christian so I'm overthinking that I might've did it wrong and something bad will happen. Any advice on how to combat this would be helpful. But yea, I did my first ever spell. So yay.

For context I have a friend and coworker who has been having a hard time with his family and him mom and her siblings do not treat him well. I have been talking to him and trying to get him to realize what he wants out of life doesn’t need to revolve around his family’s happiness. Me and my partner stick to ourselves. We’ve grown apart from family, friends just like every other dynamic people go through none of these had a bad ending just grown apart.

NOW from June 2026 right up until now BAD things had happened to us. I was put into hospital, my health is decreasing, my partner has been getting sick easier and she never gets sick, our landlord is selling our property.

We want to know how to do a protection spell or cleansing spell for us both incase it starts getting dark.

We do have 3 people in mind we do not have contact with and some of these have been years since we’ve talked but we are scared and need help on how to: break it, cleanse ourselves and then to protect ourselves.

If you have any banishment spells that won't harm the other person please recommend or share them with me. I have a person in my life who is on me like a dog to a bone and I just wish that they would leave me alone. Communication won't work on them, they are the type of a person who if you tell them "Hey, I think we have outgrown each other" they would view me as an enemy. They are not bad and I wish them all good, I just want them to be far away from me.

SP in white, me in red and 3rd party black on top of a breakup jar I did last week. At first, the cord was cut from SP’s side, before slowly burning around my red candle, then cutting the cord from my side as well. This happened very early in the spell. After this I let them burn down more.

I noticed that me and SP’s candles burnt down very fast while 3rd party was relatively slow. When me and SP’s candle was done, and melted it was combined into a wax pool resembling a heart shape. 3rd partys candle had not even gotten halfway yet. Then, very suddenly, with absolutely no buildup, 3rd partys flame burst up into a huge torch like flame, burning fiercely for some moments before doubling down little after little until completely done.

Can anyone help me interpret what this could mean?

I’ve done 3rd party removals in the past, where I had to end up physically cut the cord with scissors because nobody wanted to let go
