I own an American car myself and I'm constantly frustrated that there's nowhere UK specific to buy, sell, or even just talk about them, everything's either general sites like Autotrader where you're buried under normal cars, or US based forums that do not really apply here. 

I've started building something called Iron Marques, a UK only marketplace and community for American cars, listings, a directory of specialists, clubs and events, that kind of thing. 

Genuinely asking before I go further, would you actually use something like this, and what would actually make it worth using versus just sticking with what you do now. Not trying to sell anything here, just want honest feedback before I sink more time into it.

But when it comes to luxury vehicles specifically, that sentiment is not translating into sales for Cadillac and Lincoln, America’s two flagship luxury brands.

Hey everyone, I’m a 26-year-old guy living in Spain and I’m working on my first classic car project — a 1973 Chevrolet Biscayne sedan (4-door) with a Small Block V8 5733cc and automatic transmission.

A little background: I come from a family of mechanics, and I have some mechanical knowledge myself. The car is original and running perfectly, but it was parked for about 15 years, which has taken a toll on the body and interior. I’m currently restoring the bodywork and interior.

The Biscayne only has about 32,000 km on the odometer, and I’d really love to keep it as close to original as possible.

I’d really appreciate any advice on where to find parts for this specific model (body panels, trim, interior pieces, and engine-related components), as well as any additional technical information about the 1973 Biscayne common weak points, parts compatibility with other Chevrolet models, manuals, documentation, or general ownership tips.

So tomorrow I am going to a dealership to trade in a car as down payment for one that isn’t wasting “thousands of dollars” daily.

• reliable
• easy to work on and modify
• under 20k
• handles corners well

My top choices are a C5 corvette or an S197 5.0, but let me know if anyone has some better input. Thank you
