Reddit Drama Jaime and Robert in The Bathhouse will Forever be My Favorite Scene in All of GOT
A lot of people will point to the sand snakes vs Dario, or Battle Of The Zombie Guys. But for me this moment where Jaime tells Robert the truth about fucking Aerys despite his vows not to fuck will always be the best

True /r/ASOIAF circlejerking Where the Ironborn get the wood for their ships:
A young Ironborn man, when starting out, goes to the Wolfswood and Bear Island not to raid, but to trade. Through this trade, he aquires the wood with which to build his ship to begin raiding. He then conducts raids and pillaging, and throughout his career, builds up his crew and his fleet.
The Ironborn have developed the concepts paying the Iron price, which is seen as honorable, and the Gold price, which is seen as legitimate, yet less honorable. This is to mask the fact that each and every renowned Ironborn captain began their career by acquiring the wood for their first ship through ritualized negotiations and fellatio of a local lumberjack from the Wolfswood or Bear Island. This is an open secret among all Ironborn captains, though never acknowledged with anybody else. This is called paying the Wood price.

Why didn't the God-Emperor declare the Red Wedding a Chaos ritual and purge House Frey? Is this a plot hole?
The Red Wedding is clearly a ritual sacrifice to Chaos.
The God-Emperor should have declared a Crusade.
Is GRRM allergic to lore?

True /r/ASOIAF circlejerking Which 2 GOT characters do you relate to the most, and why? This question will be worth 50% of your grade.
Here’s my answer. I’m choosing Daenerys Targaryen and Joffrey Baratheon.
Joffrey Baratheon
I have a strong personality and don’t like being told what to do. I can be stubborn, outspoken, and difficult to sway once I’ve made up my mind. Yes, I can also be aggressive, judgmental, and “too honest.” I additionally relate to Joffrey’s resistance to being controlled by other people. I take disrespect personally and have a hard time taking shit from anyone, to a point where it gets me in trouble. When someone humiliates me, treats me unfairly, or makes me feel inferior, it pisses me off. I understand Joffrey’s sensitivity to disrespect, and I too, would be putting many heads on stakes if I was in power. I’m reactive and can have a short temper. I relate to his intensity and his tendency to react emotionally when something doesn’t go his way. I can be very passionate about things, for better or worse. I recognize that sometimes I can be overly emotional and make impulsive decisions which are mistakes. I have a strong sense of pride. I don’t like feeling weak, being looked down on, or having other people make me feel as though I’m beneath them. People being condescending is something I genuinely cannot fucking stand. I’m unapologetically myself and don’t always care about being liked. I can be provocative, opinionated, and unafraid to express thoughts that other people might disagree with. I would rather be myself and be hated by the masses than loved by everyone because I put on a mask.
Daenerys Targaryen
I have a strong sense of independence. I want to make my own decisions and determine the direction of my life. I relate to Daenerys’s determination to control her own destiny rather than allow other people to dictate it. I demand respect and won’t willingly tolerate mistreatment. I have a strong reaction to people who underestimate me, disrespect me, or attempt to make me feel inferior. I admire Daenerys’s refusal to accept being treated as though she has no power or agency. When her brother tried to control her, she fought back. Anybody who messes with her ends up having to deal with the consequences. I’m proud, ambitious, and determined. When something matters to me, I can become extremely invested in it. I relate to Daenerys’s intensity and her belief that she can accomplish something significant. I’m loyal to the people I care about, almost dangerously. I let them get away with things I would never accept from strangers. I also have a soft spot for underdogs and those who have been mistreated by the masses of society. I would have freed all the slaves, just as she had in the show, and given them a chance to leave if they wanted to. Lastly, I want to be recognized on my own terms. I don’t want other people deciding who I am or what I’m worth. I relate to Daenerys’s determination to establish her own identity and prove that she is more than what other people assume about her. I’m a female who might appear weak, cute and soft to others but this could be no farther from the truth.
Your turn, don’t be afraid to be as detailed as you want. I’ll be reading all responses.

I highlighted the parts of ASOS where the main character has LITERAL SEX (has any other living author been so bold to include SEX in their book???)
if you don’t know, sex is when a man puts his penis in a woman
has another author ever done this before???
(i’ve never read anything in my entire life except for Game of Thrones books and Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund)

True /r/ASOIAF circlejerking Fun Fact: Danaerys Targaryen literally translates to ‘dragon girl that doesn’t do much for 90% of the books and goes crazy at the end but the books will never get that far, also she’s real hot in the show but like 14 in the books and people will get off on her shitting which is a bit odd’ In Yiddish
Well played George 👏👏👏
