Rank UP! New player ranked tips
Tips for a new dhalsim player
I just started sf6, it’s my first street fighter I’m maining dhalsim . I have played over 1000 hours on tekken 8 as king and ak. I know sf6 is a completely different game but I feel like I am picking up on the mechanics fairly quickly.
I got a 10 game win streak on ranked and I am currently silver. I have started learning his setups and his movement as well as just how important anti-airs are.

My best suggestion is to post a video! Let us see how your gameplay is progressing. Especially where you feel you could have won but didn't, or did win but shouldn't have. Those tense moments help us help you.
How to get to your replays
- Finish a match: Complete a match in any mode, including Arcade, Versus, or Online.
- Press the Replay button: Immediately after the match ends, press the Replay button on the game’s main menu. This button is usually located at the bottom of the screen.
- Alternatively, you can access the replay menu from the Multi-Menu -> CFN -> Replays
- Select the replay: Choose the replay you want to view from the list of available matches.
How to record your videos
Snipping tool (free) and Clipchamp (paid) PC Screen Recording
Snipping tool PC Screen Recording text overview and video overview
Geforce Experience for NVDIA graphics
Steam Recording
OBS can be used for both streaming and recording your screen. FOSS, professional grade
On linux, you can try GPU Screen Recorder which has minimal CPU impact compared to OBS

I just posted a highlight of me making good reads but I’ll try to find some where I feel like I could have won but didn’t and when I won but I felt like I shouldn’t have

I played Dhalsim in SFV and he's really hard to pick up as a beginning level player. Especially having to do stuff like b.MK>yoga flame because you have to go from one direction to the next and you have to hit more directionals instead of having a basic QCB/QCF motion.
I would suggest abusing his teleport and throwing a projectile right before you teleport to get in. Or doing a yoga arch>slide to get up in their face. Yoga float is good for spacing people out and there is a couple of things you can do with it now compared to the beginning of SFV.
Be careful with the head drill because if you don't hit them in the toes, you will be negative and they can punish you.
As long as you are good with anti-airing with him, there isn't a whole lot most characters without a projectile can do.
Dhalsim's defensive options are very weak. Use Drive Reversal (f+DI button) a lot to give yourself space especially when you get knocked down. Avoid doing raw DI on wakeup.

Stay calm. Lower ranked players play like raging gorillas. Stop, stay calm, stand still, do nothing, wait for your opponent to act and punish it, this will get you ranking high fast and remove a lot of bad habits.

Just know that dhalsim does not play conventional street fighter. He’s pretty much playing his own game. If something is working, just keep using it till it stops working then lab to understand why.

Wow, There are very exceptional players who main dhalsim and wants to achieve high rank due to difficulty to use. What made you to main Dhalsim?

He stood out to me, I thought he looked cool, and orange is my favorite color. His fire moves are pretty sick and I’ve never really tried out a zoner
